Robber baron is a business leader that gets what it wants by any means necessary. They achieve the things they do by overworking workers and being ruthless. I say ruthless because they don't care what happens to other people but just themselves. These leaders become very rich in the process while others suffer. The ones that suffer include the farmers who are overpriced because of Robber Baron businessmen.

The thing that interested me the most was the greed in America back then. An example is the railroad companies overcharging the farmers. They did this because they could and it really struck me. So, in all retrospect the railroad companies got rich and the famers were almost poor because of it. This was finally fixed by the Interstate commerce Act which limited the price railroad s could charge someone for transportation.

One thing I relate to is the switching of rural to urban. My grandparents have been living in the country their whole lives and I grew up their. My parents decided to move to more of a citie life in Akron and then moved again to here, Hartville Ohio. The lifestyles and communication are different from those in the country to those in the cities.
