From both texts, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" and "The Power of likes", both authors presented their information of social media pros and cons in different ways. One author talks about how social media can influence teens in a good way, while the other author, talks about how social media doesn't have a good impact on a teen's mindset. But the author that presented their information in a better way is the first text, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds." The first text presents their information by showing to the reader about the amazing deeds that social media has done to teens. But in the other texts, "The Power of Likes", the author just gives random information about the bad things that happen on social media. But in the first text, the author helps the reader understand about the impacts that teens have made on social media, by inspiring others. All in all, the first text, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds", has a better presentation about the pros of social media by giving the reader some strong examples and research.

In both texts, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" and "The Power of 'like'", both texts have their own different contrast to emanate the argument that social media has its own pros and cons. "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" derives the uses of social media that are positive. However, "The Power of 'like'" exudes the negative effects that come from liking a certain post, although, this text still connects to social media, too. In my opinion, I agree that 'The Power of 'like'" passage best supports the better argument from the conducted experiments that have been stated in the text and the statistics recorded in the experiments. To sum it up, my opinion is biased towards the text, "The power of 'like'".

The author in "The Power of Like" presented the argument better than the author in "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" because of the additional research that was done in order to prove the theory that "likes" could affect teens emotional status. In the text "The Power of Likes" the author chose the support their claim by adding different experiments that researchers had done that proves the hypothesis that the scientists had made. But in the text, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" the author instead only focuses about young teens who show their talent for social media. To conclude, the author of "The Power of Likes" presented the argument better in there presentation and information.

In the first text, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds", the author has a better argument, because they presented their idea with some strong example and research. For example, in paragraph 1, when the author says, " But there are also students out there using social media in positive ways- sometimes wonderful, life-changing ways that show you're never too young to make a difference." This piece of evidence from the first paragraph tells the reader about the other stuff that is going on in social media. Even though there might be bad stuff happening on the internet, there are people using social media for the better. The author even uses words like "wonderful" or "life changing". These words help the reader have a better understanding of what the author will be talking about in the text. Another piece of evidence is through paragraphs 14-16 when the author states, "Jah'Kiyla Atwaters of Boynton Beach, Florida was practicing cheerleading routines at a park when she noticed some girls outside the gate watching. When Jah'Kiyla encouraged them to try cheering themselves, one of them responded, "My mom died, and my sister is taking care of us She doesn't have any extra money for me to cheer."...Jah'Kiyla told her mom, and together they formed the Jump with Jah'Kiyla (JWJ) Foundation to provide children who normally couldn't afford it the opportunity to play sports...Jah'Kiyla also launched a social media campaign asking kids to create and photograph themselves woth posters of their favorite sport." Through these paragraphs, 14-16, the author has given the full story of how Jah'Kiyla made a social media campaign because of the sad story she hears. The author presented their information by telling the reader about Jah'Kiyla story. She heard the sad story from one of the kids and after hearing about her life, that impacted her to start helping other people by using social media. All in all, in this first text, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds", the author has a better argument, because they presented their idea with some very strong examples and research.

In "Teens Using Social Media For Good Deeds" the author's claim is that teens can use social media for Good things like spreading awareness of some issue or posting blogs on how to be happy and more metal health tips. In "The Power Of Likes" the claim the author presents is the simple act of "like" can affect a teens mental self in a positive, but mostly negative way. However, the text "Teens Using Social Media For Good Deeds" has a better argument and has more evidence to support the claim given. This shows that the text "Teens Using Social Media For Good Deeds" has a better presentation than "The Power of Like".

To show this the author states multiple ways on how Teens, boys and girls, have posted positive things on social media. Also, the author has given the change these kids made and how far they have come. Another piece of evidence is what word choice the author uses, the author mostly puts positive connotations on the words he/she uses. This shows that the author gives more positive word choices so the reader really understands the topic the author wants the reader to understand. Also showing how real people made changes is very strong evidence compared to the second text. Meanwhile the other texts shows how people talk bad about social media without much proof.

The text "Teens using social media for good deeds" shows how social media is a good thing by giving examples of kids using social media to help other kids and benefit there lives.

In the other text, "The power of 'like' ", the author didn't really presented their information in a good way. I know this because the author is just spitting out random reasons on why social media can be bad for teens. Even though they might be true, it really isn't organized in the best way. For example, in paragraph 4, the author states, "It no surprise: Feedback from peer's affect how teens behave. And not always in a good way. For example, on one 2011 study, teens doing a driving task in a lab took more risks when their friends were around. Researchers also looked at the teens' brains during the task. They saw activity in a part of the brain that's involved in rewards." This piece of evidence explains to the reader about what the author is first explaining. The author does start with a good sentence, along with giving an example, but they just threw their information at us. Maybe start off with something else. Another piece of evidence is in paragraph 29 when the author states, "The important take-home message here, Boyle says, is that what students see on social media can influence their attitude about drinking. The problem with social media is that posts can distort reality," Boyle says. Social media users see only highlights from the party." This piece of evidence shows the reader about what the author really wants us to take away from the text. The paragraph starts off with saying, "The important take-home message here, Boyle says, is that what students see on social media can influence their attitude about drinking." There could also be more take-aways, rather than just what the author wants us to know. All in all, from the other text, "The power of 'likes'", the author didn't really present their information in a good way. And that's because the author is just spitting out random reasons why social media can be bad for teens. They are true, but it has to be more organized like the other text.

In the first text," The Power of Likes" the author presented the better argument because they stated their information with facts and real research that has been done in order to prove their theory. For instance, in paragraph 5 the author states, "Sherman wanted to know whether teens similar changes to their behavior when they use social media. To find out, she and her team recruited 32 teens for their study, last year..." This evidence shows the readers that they are actual facts and inquiry to show that what the author is providing actual evidence and proof that shows that the motion of pressing the "like" button can have massive effect on a teenager. The author also include many details into the article so that the reader know what they're reading about. They include statistics and numbers that you can't argue with. For example, in paragraphs 15 and 16, the author states, "Clicking "like" is a simple act that can have complex results. In fact, a single like can have a big impact on a post's popularity and reach, say Maria Glenski and Tim Weninger...." This just shows the way on how these people start out by explaining that by pressing one small button, you could change the affect that that person has. And in paragraph 18, the author states, "Posts that their program had up voted did better. These posts were eight percent more likely to have a final score of at least 1000 compared to posts that the program had ignored. And upvoted posts were 25 percent more likely to reach a final score of 2000- making them extremely popular. In contrast, posts that the program downvoted ended up with scores 5 percent lower, on average, then were posts that the program had ignored..." This piece of evidence shows that the researchers had done actual experiments to test their hypothesis and ended up with actual numbers that proved their theory right. They also ended up having data points, statistics, and investigations that backed up that theory. In conclusion, the text "The Power of Like" presents the better argument because of the factual research that had been done to support the authors claim, with numbers and surveys that no one can argue.

One example is in paragraph 15 the text states "They created a website to encourage donations and to help kids and their families apply for sports vouchers" this evidence supports by showing one of the many ways that teens have done good on social media. The claim that is remonstrated is how this text has the better argument that supports the claim on social media's pros and cons. "The Power of 'like'" has the better premise because of the evidence and research conducted. In one of the sub-topics, one of the experiments that was done by researchers was when they looked at the responses of the teens' brains whenever they liked a certain photo. Basically, teens were used for an experiment that looks at how they would react to different photos and the amount of likes listed. The posts that have more likes...

In the text "The Power of like" the author has a better argument to how the things people do and post on social media can influence the things people do by showing research, surveys, examples, and what different people did to show social media influences people and how most views mostly like popular posts. In paragraph 26 the author says "Students who saw alcohol-related posts during the first six weeks of school were more likely to drink alcohol by the second survey, the data show. Those posts made the young men see drinking as an important part of their college experience. "These things, in turn, led them to drink more themselves, "Boyle says." This shows how the authors shows a stronger argument because it showing what other people said about social media and it gives the example from the survey that really shows that the things on social media can effect the way other people act. In paragraph 18 the test says "Posts that their program had upvoted did better. Upvoted posts were almost 25 percent more likely to reach a final score of 2000-making them extremely popular.

In conclusion, from both of the texts, " Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" and "The Power of 'likes'", both authors have presented their information of social media with teens in different ways. The first text talks about the pros that social media has on teens, while the other talks about the cons that it has on teenagers. But from both of the texts, the first author has presented their information in a better way. This author has given some very strong evidence and research supporting her text showing how it impacted the teens lives which led them to help other people out. But in the other text, they love to throw some facts at the reader. They talk about the cons, which are all true, but they need to have it more organized instead of just giving us facts in random paragraphs. They should also maybe add some positives. Social media isn't all bad. Their type of format tells the reader that people shouldn't have social media in their lives. So from both of these texts, I know that the first text, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds", has given their examples in a better way. So the next time you scroll through social media, look out how other influencers have impacted other people in a better way.

In both texts, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" And "The Power of likes." Both authors have different sides of a argument, 'Is Social Media a good or bad Impact?' In one text, "Teens using social media for Good Deeds" The author talks about how teens use their power of likes, and posts, and comments, overall power of social media for good, and how it effects and shows a positive effect and, or it is a mostly positive place. While in "The Power of Likes." The author states how, someones whole mood, activity of behavior or whole character can change just by the power of likes or comments. He also tells us the negative effects of social media, he states how a certain amount of number of likes changes a persons mood, behavior, or act. The author is stating that, if perhaps a teen were to see a picture of things that are a bad influence, for example, smoking. If this activity or post were to get a major or exceptional amount of likes. That a teen would see this and it would influence them to do bad things, that can lead to a dark, horrid, misbehaving path. Both texts give evidence, of how social media is a bad or good influence on teens as both texts either argue or support that teens or humans should use social media, and that if it has a mostly positive or negative impact on teens and, or the world.

In the second article, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds", the author did not present the better argument than the text "The Power of Like". This is because in the text "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" the author only repeats the same thing: different teenagers that made a difference through social media. And while all that information may be true, it cannot compete with the analysis that was done in order to prove the authors claim in the text, "The Power of Like". There was much research, data, and surveys that were done to support the claim in the text "The Power of Like", which is much different from the text "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds". As an example, the author states in paragraph 10 and 15 states, Hannah, who is from Toronto, launched her blog "Call Me Hannah" when she was just nine years old... Fast forward four years, and Hannah, now 13, has not only built a huge following for her blog but gained influence through public speaking and much more..." And in Paragraph 15, the author states, " Saddened by the story, Jah'kiyla told her mom, and together, they formed the Jump With Jah'kiyla(JWJ) Foundation..." These pieces of evidence show that even though each of these teens have made such amazing gesticulations, they end up just putting different teens who end up doing the same, wonderful, thing. They didn't look more into why social media is good, or why it shouldn't have such a bad rep.

However, "The Power of like" has a stronger argument than "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" by using surveys, researching apps, and posts.

To conclude, both of the texts "The power of like" and "Teens Using social media..." talk about social media. The text "Teens using social media..." has more efficient evidence to support their claim that social media is a good place. On the other hand the text "The power of like" has less efficient evidence to support their claim. Therefore the text "Teens using social media..." shows their opinion in a better way than the other text. Overall both texts have evidence to support their claims but the text "Teens using social media..." has better evidence than the other.

To conclude both texts, "The Power of Likes" and "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" have separate opinions on social media and how it is used. However, in the text, "The Power of Likes" the author- Alison Pearce Stevens- presented the better argument for social media. In the other text, "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" the author chose to only put the same thing: people who chose to make a difference through social media. And even though all of those people were very inspirational, that was all that was mentioned in the text. There was no other evidence on why social media shouldn't have notoriety. However, in the text, "The Power of Likes" the author chose to explain their thoughts and their claim and then decided to include evidence by putting actual statistics, surveys, and experiments that had been done to prove the authors claim. There was a variety of things, not just one main thing.

To conclude, as you saw, my obvious opinion is siding with the passage, "The Power of 'like'" instead of "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" because of how the author does state some facts about the pros and cons about social media. "The Power of 'like'" organized it by giving examples of experiments that researchers did, even though it was mostly about the cons, it did have some positive pros. Unlike "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds", My argument is that it only talks about the pros, and not exactly the cons. The statement that is needed to answer is which text imparts the better argument on social media's pros and cons, and I agree that "The Power of 'like'" is more supportive of the argument. What do you think? If your choice is the other text having the better argument, maybe you could convince me to side with you.

All in all, both "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" and "The Power of Likes" both have a argument about social media, however "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" has a better presentation overall, because of the strong evidence of how Teens made a good change with such simple things to post, while in "The Power of Likes" the author includes 2 different experiments proving the point that a simple act of a "like", can affect a teen in a negative way. However, both experiments were the same thing with two different platforms. This shows that the text "Teens Using Social Media for Good Deeds" has a better argument and presentation. The first text "teens using social media" shows the better argument that social media can be a good thing as it presents great information of teens that use social media for great things. As in the other text "The power of like" does not show a stronger point as the other texts proves a stronger point. Both texts, "Teens using Social Media for Good Deeds." and "The power of 'likes'." Fight for the topic of Social media but for their side, as one text, "The power of 'likes'." Fights for the negative side of social media saying that it mostly has a negative side. The other, "Teens using Social Media for Good Deeds." This author fights for the positive side of social media. They both use examples, and evidence to support their opinion. However, the author that wrote the article, "Teens using Social Media for Good Deeds." presented and shown more better, and stronger evidence, by having real-world examples, but not just one, however multiple. This evidence was more convincing. As you could see these examples in the internet, or see this blog by searching it up. Overall, this text had a outstanding amount of evidence.

(NOT FINISHED.) ...
