We can use this as an opportunity to share stories and maybe even try some of these out. We can use this as an opportunity to discuss how to look at bike repair beyond the established step-by-step tutorials.

I'd like to host a gathering of Bike Party organizers from across the country to allow them to join Bike Bike and to ride East Bay Bike Party on Friday. On Sat, we could join the community breakfast and co-op tour, then break off to a spot like Eli's or Ghosttown to have a space to discuss Bike Party related issues. Hoping to avoid power point, or other corporate feels and to make this more organic. Format will depend on what I get for expected attendee numbers.

My name is jaden, I’m with the Bicas crew. Based in the land of the O’odham, Pascua Yaqui, and other land stewards/indigenous peoples.

I’m wanting to lead a short course/discussion/mind meld/knowledge sharing about analogies that I use when teaching bike stuff.

I want to chat about why we use analogies, how they make our brains feel and understand things differently, etc.

I want it to be an open space where people can share their own strategies and ways of teaching things.

I speak some Spanish, not amazing but I’m working on it. My written Spanish is pretty bad.

I could imagine it taking 2 hours ish. I would love for it to be collaborative/discussion based, very involved for other people, not lecture based.

Recently we have been engaged in our own internal conflict resolution and accountability processes. We all feel like we have made really good progress developing interesting processes, and with these fresh lessons in our back pocket we are interested in hosting a roundtable discussion about conflict in our DIY/non-profit/consensus/horizontal driven organizations.
