Yes I think enough people will practice social distancing to help slow down the spread of coronavirus. I think this because when I go to the store or anywhere I don't see alot of people near eachother because they are scared of getting it. But I also don't know how much it will stop the spread because you still do a lot of things that involve touching things other people touched. So I think social distancing will help but it won't drastically slow the spread unless people stay home and distance that way.

Personally I think that enough citizens will practice social distancing because people don’t want others to get sick. For example, almost two Saturdays ago I went into Dedham Square and almost no one was there besides me and my friend. It was desolate. Sure there were a few people, but when we went into CVS there was no one in there besides from the workers. There were no lines. In addition I’ve FaceTimed my friends to talk about social distancing and they haven’t gone out unless it’s important, like going to the grocery store. All over the internet i.e Instagram, SnapChat, Tik Tok and Youtube all people post about is to stay inside. Instagram has this new feature called “Stay Home” where it compiles all of the Instagram Stories into one place and they all have the message “Stay Home.” On Tik Tok if someone posts something about Covid-19 under the description it will have information about Covid-19. People are mostly staying inside unless they need to buy some groceries. If people need to get something now they won’t go out to the store they’ll buy it on Amazon. In addition people aren’t going to restaurants, they're getting DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub and Postmates. Also I’ve seen on Tik Tok that people that work in restaurants the restaurants will only allow take out to limit human contact. Also many T.V shows that have live audiences don't have live audiences or like The Dr.Phil he films from his kitchen using his laptop webcam. People are not playing games in person; they play games on their phones with their friends or an online game. Friends won’t hangout in person; they'll either FaceTime, Google Duo, House Party or start a group chat with all of their friends. In addition clubs will Zoom each other to connect.

I believe that enough citizens will practice social distancing to help slow the spread of the virus. In the video it talks about how people can practice social distancing to slow the spread because less people will come in contact with each other. This practice will slow the spread of the virus and many people are already socially distancing and I believe that most people understand how important this is to stop the spread of the virus. Most people don't want to get the virus, so they are following the recommendations and staying home. There has been a very strong campaign for this through the different social media websites and on the news which helps the information get out to all people. If everyone follows these rules the hospitals can keep up and it won't be so back for the lack of supplies and the overcrowding of hospital right now. If we can flatten the curve this virus will go away sooner which means that we could finally get back to our everyday lives and go back to our normal routines that we had before this global pandemic. I believe that enough people will socially distance themselves so this virus can go away and we can return to our normal lives.

No, I don't think enough people are practicing social distancing. My evidence is almost everywhere. You can still see some students out and wanting to enjoy spring break no matter even if it gives them COVID. However we are eventually getting close to the number if we focus a little bit on enforcing that rule. We still aren't exactly there from what we've seen in New York where the numbers doubled. So are we there yet? No. But are we close? Kind of in my opinion. Because to me personally, if the numbers are doubling then not enough people are going with this rule. And if they keep on doing it the farther we get to the recommended point where enough people are practicing social distancing? At the end, the majority counts and overrules. So aftering looking at what I laid out like the numbers in New York, Students all for Spring break, and some people are still going to there jobs (Because well they need too) so yeah I don't think so

I think that enough citizens will practice social distancing. One reason I think this is because even if they don't at the moment eventually they will realize how serious this is and will start distancing themselves. In addition, if people realize that it is a bigger deal than bacterias and viruses such as the flu, they will start staying inside more. Also, most people that are not staying inside are teenagers and young adults so once they are properly educated on it they will soon realize in order for this whole situation to be over they will have to stay inside and start social distancing. Another reason is that in Massachusetts we are having one in every 8 people leaving their homes at one time which is a more successful method than the previous one in every 4 people. Also even though it doesn't affect most people our age, we could still be carrying the virus and giving it to other people. Also since the symptoms don't show until two weeks after you get the virus, you could be carrying it and giving it to other people if you are distancing yourself from people. If people really knew these things they would most likely distance themselves from others.

If we keep going as we are now, I don’t think that it will be enough. Right now the government is just suggesting to stay away from people. But that’s not enough. Many people aren’t this seriously enough to actually follow the rules. They don’t care or think this is actually happening. They need to be woken up and shown what is actually happening. Many kids see this as a vacation because it hasn’t really affected them. They don’t understand the magnitude of the situation. It is mostly Millennials who think it isn’t a big deal. Even our President blew it off until it was completely obvious. The government isn’t taking enough measures to protect us and keep us safe. Suggesting that everyone stays at least three feet away from each other isn’t enough, They need to show people that this is a serious problem. We need a strong leader to tell us what to do. So if Social Distancing keeps up like this it won’t work. But if everyone stays calm and works together, we can get through this. It might be enough if everyone does it and doesn’t hang out with friends because they are bored. This is not a vacation. It is very serious and alarming.

I think that yes, enough people could practice social distancing to help slow down the spread of corona. I think so because of course there will always be people that are social and will go out but most people will stay at home. In the simulation you showed us in the video where 1 out of 8 people started moving around it slowed down the spread of the virus. If everyone was moving then the virus will spread rapidly . Since only a little amount of people are moving the spread of the virus will be slow and that might mean that less people will be affected until the cure is given out to everyone . Therefore, the virus could help be stopped by people practicing social distancing .

Yes I think social dicatning will help stop the spread because if people aren't near each other then the virus wont spread through people. If people aren't closely interacting then the virtues will be isolated. It won't be able to spread through human interaction. So if people interact with co workers, peers, distant family and store workers then the values won't be able to spread in mass amounts like it has been. As people move around and go to work the viruses passed from person to person and it then continues to spread in large amounts. When you move around freely you are more likely to spread the virus to other people. Social distancing could also give hospitals a period of relief so they dont have so many patients at once using the supplies and tests.Flattening the curve helps decrease how quickly the coronavirus case forms. If enough citizens participate in not going out and distancing themselves from their friends and family members then it can slow the rapid spread of the coronavirus. Overall if everyone practices social dictaning then it can help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

I do think that people will practice social distancing to help slow down the spread of the coronavirus because it is just so contagious and many people can suffer from it. I think that people are going to realize what it can do to people and that is going to worry everyone so they will stay away from people and once people start to stay away from each other that is going to help everyone and help people stay healthier. I chose this answer because at first I just thought that people were overreacting about it and freaking out for no reason but then i noticed that it was killing people and getting people very sick so i started to social distance from everyone because i got worried that i could get the sickness since it is very contagious.

Social Distancing is the key to stopping the Corona-virus outbreak. If enforced I do think enough citizens will practice and help slow the COVID-19 spread. In this simulation by the Washington Post it shows as the 200 dots representing people move freely and as they do so the virus quickly spreads from one to 144 very quickly. If citizens aren't allowed to move freely, social distancing, they are able to keep better control over the spread of the virus. When less people are getting sick, though impossible to stop all spread, doctors are able to have more time to give help to those in need. The more quickly the virus spreads the less likely doctors will be able to treat patients properly therefore more death then there really should be. At first the virus spread very quickly but if we implement social distancing those numbers will go done immensely. Though is won't completely stop the virus it will slow it down giving medical professionals time to do their work and help those who need it. If the simulation is true and 1 out of 8 people are social distancing, it will be enough and if we all do our part and encourage others to do the same, then we will be back to a normal life hopefully as soon as possible.

I think enough citizens will practice social distancing. First I think that, since we canceled a lots of major events and schools, citizens will realize the severity of the covid 19 pandemic.Second since we are all home for a long time citizens will want to go back to regular life and hang out with their friends. That will basically convince people to practice social distancing and be very sanitized. Third since this virus is so contagious, people will not want to get the virus. That means that people will wear masks and try very hard to avoid each other. Fourth since we have the technology to talk to each other staying home won't be that boring.
Fifth since we have social media we can text each other. That means that we can tell each other to stay home and 6 feet away from each other. If we post that on our stories then more people will see it and they will tell their friends too. In conclusion I think that people will practice social distancing because of the major events people are cancelling and how school is being cancelled. and also because the efforts of people and social media.

Yes, I do think people will practice social distancing to help slow the spread of the virus. People already doing it (At least in MA) to an extent. Schools are closed, gathering can't have more than ten people, and only essential workers still go to work. The video states that "Since early March, there has been dramatic increase in the number of people in the U.S with Coronavirus. And this increase has scientist worried." This is true, but I believe that because of all the media coverage, stories, and stats being shown that people just realized how serious this is. People have been no-stop told that social distancing is the best way to combat the virus. Of course there are outliners, but I think people are starting to understand how important it is to stay inside.

The closer you are to another person, the more likely you are to get their germs and bacteria. Also crowded places are even worse for spreading bacteria and one sick person could get many others sick. Bacteria can also be spread by coughing and sneezing. Not all people have basic common sense to sneeze or cough into their arms so if someone were to not cover their mouth when they do either of those things, the germs could travel through the air or land onto someone. However I think social distancing is bad too. The economy of many countries, including The United States, has gone down a lot and it could take a long time to recover. many who don't have jobs won't be receiving much money. More people will be unemployed and have lower living standards. FInancial insecurity could cause depression and anxiety. People who are also scared of the virus will also purchase supplies that is more than necessary, leaving other's with less supplies. If people were free to go to the store anytime they want (rather than only at crucial times) they will most likely only purchase what they need and not more than enough. Lack of supplies will increase food insecurity and also take a bad effect on mental health. Weaker immune systems from not exercising or having enough sunlight intake could cause the body to be invaded by more bacteria. Will social distancing slow the spread of COVID-19? I believe so, but I believe social distancing will have a strong negative impact on other aspects of normal everyday life. Therefore, I think there are more than enough people practicing social distancing. But right now the top priority of many citizens is to stop the spread of COVID-19 so I believe enough people will practice social distancing in order to slow the spread

I think enough citizens will practice social distancing to help slow down the virus because they probably don’t want to get it. People don’t want to get sick. If there is a solution to stop the virus, people will probably take the chance to get rid of it. If seen people wear gloves around grocery stores and bags around their mouth. You don’t want to go through what people with corona are going through. Some people think that it is not a big deal but it is. There has been a severe increase of cases throughout the U.S. and they are just going up. If people are really concerned about it, they will probably try social distancing and are not going to hang out with other people. There are some people that are still hanging around with their friends and partying, but that might not turn out well for them. People have to make a change for this virus to calm down or even go away. Right now I'm not allowed to go outside or anywhere. I would much rather go to school right now but I also don’t want this virus. I think that people will practice social distancing for the risk of their health.
