1. "It puts an end to all possible danger of collision between the authorities of the Federal and State Governments on account of the Indians." Jackson is talking about ending the conflicts that Americans would face when they came in contact with most Native Americans. Relocating the NAtive Americans to a place where the Americans wouldn't commonly be would reduce these small battles.

2. " It will relieve the whole State of Mississippi and the western part of Alabama of Indian occupancy, and enable those States to advance rapidly in population, wealth, and power." which sort of contradicts what he says about the government being benevolent, as these reasons for relocating the Native Americans can be debated as frivolous. But here he states that the U.S. will be able to expand their power, wealth, and population once they gain complete control over Alabama and Mississippi.

3. "It will slow the progress of decay, which is lessening their numbers." Jackson is referencing disease in this quote which is killing off the Native Americans, this is due to the fact that the Americans brought many diseases and bacteria that the Native Americans had never been exposed to. Since the Native Americans had never been exposed to these diseases and bacteria, their immune systems were not able to handle it and something like the common cold was able to kill them. Limiting contact with the Americans would make it so that the Native Americans would have a lower chance of catching these illnesses.

1. An end to a possibly dangerous encounter between the state and federal governments on what to do about the Indians. Jackson tries to say that the move will help stop conflicts between the state government and federal government if they don't come to a clear decision on the Indians.
2. . It will relieve the whole State of Mississippi and the western part of Alabama of Indian occupancy, and enable those States to advance rapidly in population, wealth, and power. Jackson says that he sees the Indians as a problem and a roadblock for states to gain population, wealth, and power. The move is necessary for these things to happen.
3. It will enable them to pursue happiness in their own way and under their own rude institutions. Jackson sees the move as an opportunity for the Indians to pursue their way of life as "Savages" They would no longer be controlled by the state they were in and they would not intervene with the whites.

1. One justification Jackson provides for the IRA of 1830 is that it will populate areas formerly inhabited by the Natives, whom Jackson referred to as "savage hunters," with a larger, more civilized population.
2. Another of Jackson's justifications for the IRA was that, by opening up the territory to the colonists, the US would be able to better defend itself from potential invasions.
3. A third justification provided by Jackson was that expanding the American Republic would be more appealing to citizens and immigrants than leaving more of the land uncolonized, with the Natives still inhabiting those regions.

Exchanging the land with the Indians would also mean that they could live their lives somewhere else the way they wanted without the influence of the Americans.
