California ratified the statute, but they did not think it would be a possible defilement of the first amendment; they were only trying actually to take a stance. Though the portrayal of this act started a dispute in the gaming industry. Why should the government change the constitution for one state’s “pleasure”? While most see adoption as a blessing, there are glaring issues, as seen in a court case in South Carolina's Supreme Court in 2013. The case of Adoptive Parents Vs Baby Girl and the results of the jury have opened several questions into the rights of the adoptive parents and the birth parents. Does adoption grant full legal rights to the new guardians? Can the birth parents revoke an adoption after its been approved by a court of law?
