I have also added extended reading time, where students can read whenever they complete an assignment, or the last 10-15 minutes of class some days. They can choose from my CHOICES magazines and an entire shelf of books related to my content area.

We also plan a county-wide BINGO night at Christmas and a graduation ceremony at the end of the year.
