Bruno, the star of this film, is nine years old. He's the son of a commander of a Nazi concentration camp. He, his mother, his father and his sister Gretel live.
They live in a luxurious place, but because of their father's work they must move to Auschwitz. Bruno, he's angry with them because he has to say goodbye to his friends forever, and where they go he doesn't know anyone. He was also angry because Bruno loved to explore, and the house where they were going to live was smaller than his previous home and there he could not explore.
From the little boy's room, he sees some people in striped pajamas behind huge fences, they were the Jews in the concentration camps.
One afternoon, Bruno decides to go and explore around the fences that called him a lot of attention and makes friends with a boy named Shmuel and goes to see him every afternoon.
Bruno and Gretel's parents see that they have lice, and Bruno's head is shaved off and he sees that way he looks more like his Jewish friend, because his sister told him that the men in striped pajamas were totally different from them.
Bruno wanted to go over the fence so he could play with Shmuel and the other children and help find the Jewish's parents. He got a striped pajamas and passed the fence, everything was fine until it started to rain, the Jews were very nervous and they put them all in an airtight room even though Bruno wanted to return could not. Shmuel did not let go of his hand at any time, and they are burned to death in that room.
in this movie you can see how the Nazis treated Jews. I like this film because a Nazi son befriends a Jewish boy in the concentration camp.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ypMp0s5Hiw
