In Week1&2, I had a time to introduce myself in English through Zoom as the beginning of the second semester. I spoke my personal information in English within a limited time, but it was very interesting because the time decreased and the conversation person kept changing. Especially, I still remember the conversation that I had with Park Yu-jin. Before talking with Zoom, I have never met her, and I remember sharing personal information with her and saying that her favorite idol is BLACKPINK and favorite movie is animation Coco. And I think it was a good thing to be very kind to her with a smile and to build a consensus by sharing hobbies and things she liked. So I found out that I can make a friend by zoom.

Talking through Zoom, I felt I was a little short of quickness. It was fun to share information within a limited time, but I felt difficulty because what I wanted to say was not easy to speak in English. Also, Professor Maria asked me a question as soon as the class started, but when it was my turn, I needed some time because my thoughts were mixed up. So at first, it took some time for me to talk comfortably in English without being nervous.

And there was a time when I couldn't hear the professor's explanation until the end because of internet connection problem.

I will use my affinity again in the future. Actually, I wasn't the type to take the initiative first. But through this class, I learned that even if it is awkward, speaking and laughing first can create a better conversation and a more relaxed atmosphere.. And when the professor asked me what I talked about with the student, there were some questions that I didn't write down, so I was embarrassed. Therefore, I will develop the habit of listening to others carefully and taking notes in the future.

During the week 3-5, the professor and students had a time to meet through zoom respectively, and as a personal task, I searched for administrative or welfare problems and solutions for the country designated by the professor. And I made it into a PPT and submitted it.

I think the best thing I've done in these weeks was the personal project. I had to investigate and make a PPT about a country called Lesotho in Africa, but it was difficult to find much information because Lesotho was a small and unfamiliar country among Africa. However, I was able to find the data by watching the YouTube channel videos related to Lesotho that my professor recommended. I also wrote that Lesotho was known as the only COVID-19 clean country when all countries had serious health problems. And when COVID was in big turmoil around the world, Lesotho was also in great danger these days. I also said that much support from governments and global non-governmental organizations is needed as a way to solve Lesotho's health problem. And I introduced ‘World is one’ (World Vision's campaign). So I think it is the best work because I found as much data as I could and suggested a solution to Lesotho's welfare problem.

During this period, my weakness was the TED Talk activity. In Ted Talk, a successful person who related to a topic explains his experience and motivates people .I searched and listened to Ted Talk about 10 minutes of administration or welfare and wrote down the main contents of it and what I had learned. There was a lot of helpful information for me, but English was too fast even though I turned on the subtitles. So there were many things that were difficult to understand because I had to keep listening again and again. So it was hard to concentrate on watching the video repeatedly even though it was about 10 minutes long.

I repeated listening to Ted Talk because it was hard to understand, but as I repeated it over and over again, I understood little by little. I felt that repetition was essential and important in learning.

And when I searched for the data about Lesotho, I felt that video materials like YouTube were much better to understand than written documents on Google or Naver. So I thought that I would be able to find more specific and easy materials by using YouTube as well as Google when I look for data in the future.

In week 6-8, I read articles on the weekly subject, answered the Comprehension quiz and Discussion quiz, and then had time to get together in a small group with friends for a discussion. I read articles about Korean education in the 6th week and aging in the 7th week. And in the week 8, I visited to MoE's website and looked for environmental issues myself. I think I organized my thoughts on the discussion topic in every week and delivered them to my friends well. And especially I think it was a good thing to ask critical questions to group members in Week 8. In fact, I think it's a little difficult to express that I disagree critically by refuting other people's opinions even if I had a lot of discussions. Also, I think it is a little difficult to ask questions comfortably after each other's opinion presentation. But in week 8 d on fine dust, I asked another debater, "Where do you think fine dust comes from?', and she answered that it is coming from China. Then I said that fine dust comes from China, but Korea is the world's No. 1 plastic consumer, adding that more and more plastic has been used in recent years as delivery has been frequent in the untact era. Therefore, I claimed Korea itself should reduce the use of plastic. In addition, another debater asked me 'how to reduce the use of plastic'. So I think this activity was the best work because I think I delivered my opinion well, also it was good as the discussion proceeded critically and actively.

It was difficult for me to understand the article about the aging in week 7. It took time to understand the overall content of the article because the content of the article was long and there were quite a few unfamiliar English words that were not used well in daily life. And there was a lot of talk about longevity effects, and I wondered if I understood the concept of longevity effects correctly.

Also, when I looked at the discussion contents that I organized after the group discussion, I only have the contents of the discussion that everyone agrees with. All of group members had similar opinions about online education, so the results came out, but I thought it would have been better to organize them in a more diverse way.

And from now on, I will be more interested in more diverse fields. I am not good at computer so I think I am a little less good at making videos or doing googling than others. But from now on, I thought I should try to find not only the areas I'm interested in but also more diverse things and look at them with interest.

In week9&10, I had time to write down my thoughts on what I should improve to do face to face lessons, what rules I should follow, and what I think about face-to-face classes. And in week 10, we had the first face-to-face class of the second semester and decided on a group. The best thing I've done in this week is that I have faithfully answered the questions asked by the professor and submitted the form. I wrote down in great detail how my way to class was and wrote my experience of letting students over 37.5 degrees into the building. I also said that it was a good activity to go directly to the government website and look closely at the task.

And in the process of the group gathering in the 10th week to decide questions with group members, I first turned on my cell phone notebook and organized the questions I would ask other group members. I also made a group chat room for easy communication. So I think the best work was to sincerely answer the Google form in the 9-10 weeks and actively participate in the group preparation time.

When I first saw the topic of "employment," excluding youth employment, I suggested that we present jobs for the elderly. I was the first to get my opinion out of the discussion and at first I thought my opinion was all right, but I changed my mind when other group member suggested a topic about irregular workers. I also thought this topic was a much bigger social issue and would be more interesting. So I have provided a lot of questions and ideas on the subject of irregular workers. But I couldn't find a good video in English that really suited the topic. So I think these are my weakness.

I will use critical acceptance of various ideas from now on. I've come to rethink the question of the 11th week about minimum wage. I naturally thought the government should raise the minimum wage. And I think it's important to raise it slowly. I thought most of the group members would have the same opinion as me, but some group memebers with the opposite view of me gave evidence that the unemployment rate might be lower. So I countered that it is good to raise the minimum wage in the long run. It occurred to me that every policy had its pros and cons and that discussions were going on for a better solution. Therefore, I thought I should accept opinions with reasonable grounds rather than just sticking to my own ideas from now on.
