Also, it’s important for students to know exactly what outcome they are expected to achieve each day, so clearly stated, visible success criteria is a great addition to every lesson. I will implement these ideas and strategies into my classroom by including them in my planning process with intentionality. In addition, I will use QSSSA to deepen students’ critical thinking as well as provide quick assessment feedback for me to utilize for monitoring/adjusting lessons going forward.

We need to remind, refresh, renew their learning until they are able to teach it back to you and each other. The yardstick needs to be other than a formal assessment as for an end of course exam.


I will implement this approach, especially since, when classes are engaged in project planning & building, the groups still have undedicated brain cycles for discussing and reviewing the rationale for the project.


I am (actually) re-excited about using the Engineering Notebooks in a slightly different way to promote the writing objectives of the District.
