We are investing so much in WIL and systems and so on at the moment - but we are missing a crucial piece of the puzzle - a challenge for people to financially be able to take advantage of the opportunities available - eg Social Work students who withdraw from the program because they can't complete their placement requirements as they need steady income

The School of ICT has an Industry Advisory Board that proactively advises academics in the school. There has been discussions around industry mentors from the IAB for (younger/new) academics.

Opportunity for industry mentoring for academics
