He said that his white pants went missing and he was really angry about it. He told that it might have been mixed with the towels and bedsheets when the housekeeper came to clean the day before. Thank god his pant was found, he thanked me. The second problem was, while working I accidentally broke a glass. I was so panic and shy because it was just my second day, however my supervisor was very caring enough to check if I was hurt. She told me to get another glass from the pantry while she cleaned the glass pieces. Place the TV remote on top of the TV manual. Tie the curtains. Tidily roll the hair dryer and iron wires. Fold the batiks available in the cupboards neatly and take away extra hangers. We were instructed to immediately clean the suite room as a guest will be arriving in several minutes. Due to the limited time, I was hurrying to clean the room, I forgot to throw the rubbish. I then go back to the toilet bowl, give it a good scrub and flush the toilet again. Right after that, I get a cloth and wipe the toilet bowl cleanly, another cloth for the jaccuzi and mop the shower area. Then I get the amenities and add them, also fold the required number of bath towels, face towels, hand towels, bathrobes and bath rugs. Once all is done, I mop the floor. First, ring the bell once and say *Turn Down Service*, if no response, repeat it again for two times before using the staff touch card to enter the suites. For occupied rooms, the curtains must be closed and the lamps must be switched on. The used towels must be replaced. Any used amenities such as the sanitary bag, vanity kit and dental kit must be replaced and shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion must be added. The bath mats must be placed on the floor. Then, the bed must be turn down depends on the number of guest. If the room is occupied by one guest, only one side needs to be turned down. If the room is occupied by two guest, two sides of the bed must be turned down. This eases the guest to go to bed as the do no struggle pulling the comforter out. The water bottles must be added and any used cups must be washed. However, of it is an arrival room, genuine turn down must be done. Upon doing everything in the occupied room, arrival rooms must have added services. All the housekeeping staff have been really nice to me especially Kak Achammah, Nirmal and Joschim. When the porter assisted the 1518 guest to the 0715 room, the porter realised that there was luggage inside. He immediately came down and only them we realised I gave the wrong key. Everyone started panicking worrying that Mr.Anraku was inside the room and he was going to complain about it to Mr.Jimmy. I was scared to death. I immediately made a new card for the 1518 guest and porter sent them to the correct room. Thank god and my lucky stars, several minutes later, Mr.Anraku came to the reception and mentioned that his keys were not working and he requested for a new key. I was saved. I then check wake up call list and remaining arrivals. I then check on next day early morning transfer out and charge accordingly. I then close all credit card terminals. I prepare and separate all departure registration cards. To standby as an order taker and work close with room service staff for any orders. I also had to inform room service staff to prepare Breakfast Box next day. I also had to take over car jockey and post payment. I had to stood by housekeeping request. The most fun part will be preparing newspaper and sending it to guest suite.
