Its unusual story and pictures can make the story seem real and sometimes relatable. With the characters being young and some situations being ones you would see in middle school, young readers can easily become a fan. Plus with the sequels the book has, it can create a person who likes to read.

Fantasy
Review

I recommend this book to young readers. I know children in elementary start reading the Harry Potter books so it can be for anyone from elementary to high school and beyond. Like the Lightning Thief, this book is about Harry who is a wizard. He and his friends go through various events to find the truth. Since this book series it very long, it is good for readers to have a creative mind without watching the movies.

Post Modern Picture Book
Review

I like this book because it tell the original story of the three little pigs but they way the book is laid out, it can be fun to follow. It shows the pigs and the wolf coming out of the pages of the book and even the pigs hiding behind several pages. Little things like this can put a fun twist to simple stories.

Banned Book
Letter to a friend

Dear Cartie're,
The book is banned by some school districts due to the accusation of false rape from a black male to a white woman. Even though the black male, Tom, was innocent the jury still convicted him. The book has racism, violence and the use of vulgar language. I remember reading this book as a freshman in high school. At the time I did not find anything wrong with the book, I feel cause times has changed drastically from now til then, approximately eight years, people have become more sensitive and books like this one can be a victim of being banned.
