Theme- Loss of innocence

The focus of our theme is the loss of the innocence. This is because as cause of the airplane crash they are many children from very early age how have to survive by their own without any type of help as they are alone in the island.

This is important in the story becuase it helps us to see the situation of this poor kids that have to live by their own resources since they are young and they changed their way of being in order to survive.

Who we related this theme to?

This include almost all the kids from the airplane crash but more especific:

-Ralph

-Piggy

-Jack

-Sam y Eric

-Maurice

And they have to look for their own food by hunting pigs, animals and also by taking fruit form the trees, but they also have to make their own fire by picking up the wood.

THE THEME RELATED TO THE CHARACTERS:

This theme is reflected in the characters in all as the same way as they are all alone because of the crash and they have to survive by their own resources.

From our point of view this is a very important topic for everyday life and real life. When we read it, we were impressed by this problem since it is very sad that children from such an early age have to suffer this accident but they also have to try to survive due to the situation since they are alone on that island and had to find their own food. We think that talking about a real-life problem would be very hard since at that age they are not mentally and physically prepared to try to survive by searching for their own food and making their own fire because they are not used to.

We also think that this problem has a lot of to do with the loss of the innocence as this problem make the kids not be children anymore and transform to adults as they have to survive.
