How to manage Gen z?

“I focus on creating a work environment where they feel heard, valued, and connected to our mission. Managing Gen Z is different from previous generations because they value purpose, flexibility, and personal growth. I focus on creating a work environment where they feel heard, valued, and connected to our mission.

First, I emphasize clear communication and feedback. Gen Z appreciates transparency, so I make sure they understand their role and how their work contributes to the bigger picture.

Second, I give them opportunities for growth. Whether it’s skill development, mentorship, or leadership pathways, they are more engaged when they see a future within the company.

Third, I incorporate technology and flexibility. Many of them prefer a mix of in-person and remote work, so I try to offer flexible schedules when possible.

Be open-minded and adaptable. This generation brings fresh ideas and energy, but they also need guidance and mentorship. If you listen, support, and inspire them, they’ll become some of your best employees“

How management changed in 20 years?

“Management today is completely different from what it was two decades ago. In the past, leadership was more hierarchical, decisions were top-down, and employees were expected to follow orders without much input. Now, leadership is more collaborative, and employees want to be involved in decision-making.”

But in 2019, she has decided to quit that job and start another business and invested in real estate. The business was combine 3 field: E-commerce, Network marketing and Franchise. For investing, she said that in recent years, the market has been a lot more tricky, hard to do, that’s why she need to embrace her knowledges, and experiences it.

?Can I know your own opinion on some changes in your expertise?

"I have to mention the change in the working process, especially in technology. When I realized that it was not the beginning of the COVID pandemic, artificial intelligence had already been creeping into our lives for a long time. Some examples are Apple's Siri, which, if I remember correctly, appeared in the early 2010s, precisely after the popularity of smartphones."

?What is the good point about this?

First, we have to talk about the introduction of AI to Banking, in fact it has only become popular recently, remote transfers or payments have gradually become popular, some countries leading the trend are China. Next is Customer Service & User Experience, currently applying virtual assistants can replace many positions within Banking. Along with that, the network can protect identity and security quite strictly, building absolute trust with customers (eg: managing electronic transactions or authenticating identity by facial recognition or fingerprints)

?So what is the opposite of that?

There are also quite a few problems, some of which I am even suffering from. Currently, many people feel behind the times compared to the current situation. As you know, at the age of nearly 50, I have to write essays every day like a university student like you. Or AI can increase unemployment in some office departments, it can replace any job if it is pre-programmed, besides AI processes large amounts of personal financial information, it is very likely to be vulnerable to cyber attacks or data abuse.
