         <description><![CDATA[<p>To apply, you usually must:<br> 1.Be at least <strong>18 years old</strong>.<br> 2.Have a <strong>green card for 5 years</strong> (or 3 years if married to a U.S. citizen).<br> 3.Have lived in the U.S. for most of that time and been physically present for at least half of it.<br> 4.Show <strong>good moral character</strong> (no serious crimes, taxes filed, etc.).<br> 5.Be able to <strong>read, write, and speak basic English</strong> (some exceptions for age/long residency).<br>6. Pass a <strong>civics test</strong> about U.S. history and government.<br> 7.Take the <strong>Oath of Allegiance</strong> to the U.S.</p>]]></description>
