         <description><![CDATA[<div>The teacher groups the class into small groups of four students per table<br>Each student in the group has a role and each student in the group answers the questions from each roll.<br>The four strategies/roles are:</div><ul><li><strong>Predict/Predictor- </strong>&nbsp;<ul><li>Students predict what they think they’ll learn from the text. They may tap into any prior knowledge, they can predict by paying attention to titles, headings and pictures, they may also skim and scan to make educated guesses</li></ul></li><li><strong>Clarify/Clarifier </strong>-<ul><li>Readers assess their own understanding of the text. This begins by identifying any difficulties and misunderstandings. While reading, the role is to find answers and to clarify some of the ideas and questions that the group has as well as elaborate. The clarifier can clear up any confusion by looking at context clues or definitions in the dictionary.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Question/Questioner-</strong><ul><li>&nbsp;Readers ask themselves questions throughout the text, what are some ideas and themes in the text, any questions that come to mind</li></ul></li><li><strong>Summarize/Summarizer-&nbsp;</strong><ul><li>Readers ascertain essential information within the text, they identify the main idea and themes. The summarizing role comes at the end of the reading text. They are to use short concise statements so that everyone can understand</li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>
