This is my favourite part of the song. It actually describes the hardship and challenges Beyond went through when they tried to expand their career and introduce their influential music to the world.

Whenever I listen to this song, it actually reminds me of my own determination and perseverance in everything I do, the reasons I take challenges and strongly motivates me to move on in life.

2. 光辉岁月-Beyond

This song is from Beyond, the Hong Kong Canto-Pop rock band I mentioned above.

In 1990, Beyond traveled to Kenya and they witnessed the hardship that the people there were facing due to war, natural disasters and poverty. Back in Hong Kong, Wong Ka Kui read from the news, about Nelson Mandela's horrible experience in prison as he stood up for racial issues. Wong had a mutual feeling for Mandela and eventually, Beyond created this song where they understood Mandela's fight for hope and freedom. Beyond wrote this song as they had similar experiences of working very hard for their career. This song received a few awards too.

Basically, most of the song lyrics represented Nelson Mandela's courageous fight for freedom, equality and hope. The lyrics too represented Beyond's determination and hard work in expanding their career. And for me, it reminds to never give up in everything I do.

3. In The End-Linkin Park

This song is from an American Rock band, Linkin Park. It is the eighth track on their debut album Hybrid Theory (2000) and was released as the album's fourth and final single on October 9, 2001. In the End is one of Linkin Park's most recognizable and signature songs.

The lyrics basically talked about hard work, determination, perseverance and never giving up, which I absolutely can relate as hard ships and problems always happen in my life. This song reminds me to stay bold and to never give up.

To be honest, I have never bought any of the albums by myself because im not the person who is into the music that much but my parents do buy them and then they played it into radio in car.  Yes, I do listen to the music, almost every day but only through the radio ( car ) and youtube. 

Whenever I opened my laptop and wanted to do my assignment, I will always go on youtube and play songs first. We can also show our support to our favourite artistes, musicians or singers by going to their concerts. For example, in May 2016 , I went to Little Mix’s get weird tour in KL Live and I really enjoyed the concert and had so much fun with my friends there.

I couldn't remember when I did, but I think I bought one of Michael Jackson's album back in those days.

b) Today, there are many people who are unwilling to pay to listen to music. How and what do you think we can do to further support our artistes, musicians and singers?
I personally do not pay to listen to music. I think we can show our support by attending their concerts, buying their albums once in awhile or buying our favourite albums only, if our financial conditions allow us to, or simply pay for online music. 
For me, I don't pay to listen to music as I'm instilled with a mindset to spend on essential things. Perhaps I can show my support with just a little bit of effort, which is spreading out or sharing the artistes' or singers' albums or masterpieces or as simple as enjoying their productions and giving compliments.

This song is really nice to listen to especially during funerals and I remember having this song on repeat for a week when a friend of mine suddenly passed away. The song talks about this girl who dies suddenly, and her best friend terribly missing her and blaming God for “stealing her away” from him. Much like the title itself, match into the water, in my perception is talking about how fast life is. One second, the match is lit, and the next it is thrown into the water. Boom. Gone.

Goshhhhhhhh this song is so meaningful to me holy shiz. This whole album in fact, and the band themselves. Everything is raw and they didn’t write the lyrics to beautify life instead they just rote from their heart. This song encourages people to hang in there a little longer, despite all those voices around you telling you to kill yourself. “Hold on, if you feel like letting go, hold on it gets better than you know. Don’t stop looking, you’re one step closer. Don’t stop searching, it’s not over. Hold On”. What else should I elaborate on? (ALSO JUST A SIDE NOTE THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR THIS SO WAS SO MOVING FOR ME OMG. THERE WERE REAL PEOPLE IN THE MV REPRESENTING THE LOST LIVES OF THEIR LOVED ONES. AMAZING. AMAZING.)

“You’re the snake hidden in my daffodils, when I’m picking flowers. That’s just my life these days, why can’t you just be happy for me?”  This song has always been about me. I listen to this on the way to school because this song helps me prepare for hell, and it helps me deal with the snake in my daffodils. Their always there lurking, and ready to bite whenever they can. They bring me down, bite me where I’m weak in.  The song talks about this person who is always bringing people down to get up the ladder. That’s just not how it works dude. Grow your wings and fly away. Bye.

I believe in the old school way of supporting music; buying their CD’s, wearing merchandises, going to their concerts. People rarely do that these days unless they are really big fan. We can support the music industry further by also promoting the type of music we listen to. And maybe, buy a whole bunch of merchandise till you are broke because same :’)

 

The last time I bought an original album, it was I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It by The 1975 from Rock Corner and I was motivated to do so because of the poetic lyrics this band introduces in each song. Plus, I needed to complete my collection ASAP.

Well, as for me, I draw my favourite artists and try my best to get them to see it. So they know that they have a tight support system.

 

 

 

- Basically, the song is about a hidden relationship. So I have experienced it this relationship before. I have been with ‘him’ like for 4 years and he never ever shows me as her girlfriend in front of the public. Yes, people didn’t know about our relationship except for my family and my best friends. These lyrics in this song which are “Why cant I say that Im in love “ , “ I wish that we could be like that , why cant we be like that, cause Im yours “ “ nobody knows im in love with someone’s baby, I don’t wanna hide us away” . They are all just fit with my situation. 

 

-“I’m so sick of the same old love, that shit, it tears me up” so yeah! This is the song which I choosed to gather my strengths and move on with my relationship. 

- I just love the lyrics in the song. The song is about this guy who actually did everything to his girlfriend and the girlfriend was not doing the same thing. Later, he realised that his girlfriend doesn’t even care about his feelings.
