Because That would be allot of studying and researching for about one hundred books. All having trouble with something to life threatening situations! I was also surprised that he had his own website called www.AllanZullo.com because I don't know alot ofwhat surprised me the most is that each of his books have personal stories about it from online. I think he wrote it to inform us on things that happened and people who survived.

The author I would like to share with you is Ally Condie; she wrote the Internationally best-selling trilogy Matched. I was surprised to see how many more books this author has written. I had never heard of some of her other works that were listed on her website: Summer Lost or Enthralled although Atlantia is definitely a book I have been wanting to read. Many of the books look really amazing! I think this was my biggest surprise I simply wasn't aware she had so many other books. I am going to add them to my Books to Read list.

Another surprise I noticed as I was reading from her official website: http://allycondie.com/ is she tends to write books that include some sort of romance mixed with some dystopian fantasy similar to The Hunger Games or Divergent series. I think many of the girls would enjoy reading her books. Although, I do think there are books that boys would enjoy as well such as her book Freshman for President.

Probably the biggest surprise I found while learning about this author is that she has a writing camp designed just for teens!!! The kids work alongside real authors and it takes place in Utah. I thought this was pretty neat.

One reason I think Ally Condie may have chosen to write the trilogy Matched is because the dystopian novel seems to be pretty popular right now. However, I did notice that the main character, Cassia, loves to run, and on Condie's website, she talks about her love for running. So, I think she must have based her main character's love of running off of herself. I always wondered if author's base any of their character's or stories around their own life.

I am glad I read about her because now I want to see if she has based any other characters or settings off of her own life. I hope you'll check out her books too! Happy Reading!!!

I am reading the amazing book, Three Times Lucky by Sheila Turnage. I was very surprised to discover how many awards this author has been given. Just to name a few, she was a Newberry Honor Winner and was a New York Times Bestseller on her first book Three Times Lucky. She has recieved many other awards for her other books too.

I was also surprised to learn about the variety of books she´s written. Though she hasn´t written too many books, she writes in a wide variety of genres. Instead of sticking with one genre, like realistic fiction, she has written informational books, such as Huanted Inns of the Southeast, and fantasy books like, Trout the Magnificent. I enjoy authors that write books in different genres becuase if I need to read books in a certain genre, then I could look for books in that genre from an author whose books I already enjoy reading.

I think Sheila Turnage decided to write the Three Times Lucky becuase funny books and prerky characters usually appeal to younger children. The story is base in North Carolina and I figured out from her website, www.sheilaturnage.com/desktop.html, that Sheila Turnage is also from North Carolina. I think it is interesting when authors base characters and setting off of their own lives. I also figured out from her website that the main character, Mo, and Sheila have a lot in common.

I am very happy that I read about Sheila Turnage becuase I would have never known that she bases characters and settings in her books off of her life. I am also looking forward to reading some of her other books. Huanted Inns of the Southeast sounds especially appealing to me.

The author I am choosing to share is Stuart Gibbs. I found this author from reading an interesting mystery book named Belly Up. The name and the cover of this book seem weird, but in my opinion, It's a really good mystery book.
This book is also the first novel he made and the first book I've read created by him.

One thing that I was surprised about was that the first book I've read by him was his first novel that he made. I did not just go through a bunch of books just to find the right one. I randomly picked this book. Another thing that I was surprised about was that he made movies/screenplays. He also made TV shows for Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, ABC, and Fox. Of course,
I also was interested in some of the things on his website (http://stuartgibbs.com). I did not realize how much books he has made like the series Spy School he made. He actually has weird ideas for his books like The Stuart Gibbs Starter Collection. I have not ever seen a website or heard of an author that came up with an Idea of starter packs, so I was really surprised and wowed about that.He came up with a weird but crazy/cool idea. If you check on his website he has a tab called Signed Copies and he actually signed a piece of paper and posted a picture of that piece of paper on his website. You have to check it out, again the website is (http://stuartgibbs.com).

One of the biggest things I was surprised about was that you can pay for him to come to your school and talk to the children about his books, why he made them, and what made him want to make them. At first, I just thought that he was just a person that writes maybe like 10 books, but now from reading his book and looking at his website, I have learned a lot more about him.

One reason and maybe the only reason I think Stuart Gibbs wrote the book Belly Up is that I think he wrote it for his children, Dashiell and Violet. I think this because the beginning of the book says that which started making me think about the way he wrote the book. It started making sense that I really liked this book and I'm a kid, but that's not what's really important. I think it's a really fun kid-friendly book but then it gets a little scary, but I don't really want to spoil the book so I won't get to detailed. That's why I think Stuart Gibbs wrote Belly Up.

I really enjoyed this book so I'm planning on reading more books made by him and maybe some movies or TV shows. Since I was interested in this book and I definitely think you should check out this book and maybe some of the other books that he made.

I am really happy that I ran into this book because in elementary I didn't really like much books, but I liked this one which makes me want to read some of his other books. Then I'll end up with a longer (books to read list) with some books that I think I might like.

   Belly Up By: Stuart Gibbs

Kate Messner has wrote award winning books that have been in the New York Times Notable. I was shocked to see how many books she had written that i had never heard of like Wake Up Missing and The Seventh Wish. I think that those will be good books to read because the book I read All the Answers and it was a really good book.

I was surprised to see on her about me section of her website www.katemessner.com that Kate Messner taught at a middle school for fifteen years and earned a National Board Certification in 2006. Something that also surprised me was that Kate Messner and her family live on Lake Champlain and she loves to spend time outside with her family kayaking.

I think that Kate Messner wrote this book to kind of go along with her life. Kate Messner is a lot like the main character Ava because Kate is thankful for her friends and family like Ava. I think she also wrote this book because she wants all the annswers like Ava in this story. Instead of using a magic pencil like Ava in her book Kate asked her friends.

I would recommend the book All the Answers by Kate Messner and other books by Kate Messner she is a great author and adds great detail to her books. I recommend her books to my classmates.

By: Taelor Robinson
What surprised me was that" he has made more fictional characters than any novelist today." And a other thing is on "January 2016 he sold more than 350 million copy's world wide".
And he currently he holds the guinness world record at this very moment. For the most #1 New York Times Bestseller. And what surprised me was that Morgan Freeman stared in 2 of his movies .Called the Along came a spider. And the film Alex Cross. And James won the "National Book Foundations 2015 Literarian Award for Outstanding service for the Literary Community". And that James Patterson donated over 1 million books of his own to children all around the world. And donated 1.75 million to local libraries. And this is just a small amount of what surprised
I think he wrote this because there is not a lot of comic book/ story books around. And i think maybe enjoyed wanted to try making a funny series. Because when you think of James Patterson you think of more grown up stories. But i would recommend it a kid that likes funny comic stories.

For this Padlet, I'm going to be sharing with you the author of The Thickety, J.A. White.

I know this might seem crazy, but probably the biggest surprise for me (ever!) was the fact that J.A. White is a man. The entire time I was reading the series, I thought he was a woman! The "J" stands for Jerry, and the "A" stands for Allen. I nearly fell out of my seat when I read this!

Another interesting fact that I noticed was that J.A. White is a third grade teacher in New Jersey. I was astonished at this because I find it hard to believe that he could be a hard-working teacher, write incredible books, and still have time to spend with his family. He sounds even busier than me!

Another thing that left me stunned was that J.A. White is allergic to all animals, considering the main character in his books is an animal fanatic, even being able to talk to and control all sorts of creatures. Despite his allergies, he allows his three sons to own a hamster. Rebel.

One last shocker to me was the fact that J.A. White has been writing since a young child, and reads all the time. He often reminds me of myself. Hopefully, some day, I might be able to be as successful as he is.

Honestly, I think J.A. White chose to write The Thickety series because he thought differently than other people and decided to express his thoughts and ideas into a story.

I also have an idea why he made a character the way he did. I think he created the character Taff based off of his own sons (or himself). Taff is basically the "comic relief," and considering what I read on his website (http://jawhitebooks.com) and in his books, J.A. White is extremely funny (and a bit sarcastic). If Taff was a real person, I'll bet that he and J. A. White would get along perfectly.

I hope you found this interesting and informational. I definitely would recommend his books to a wide variety of people, and if you do end up reading The Thickety series, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I have been reading a international best called the Hunger Games trilogy. I was surprised to find that Collins was not always a author. She started out writing children's television. She also worked for staff on several Nickelodeon shows. Plus she was the head writer for Clifford's Puppy Days and a freelancer for the kids show wow wow wubbzy.
Suzanne Collins started writing children's books when she met an author and illustrator James Proimos. He persuaded her to try writing children's books. Her first books were a series you might of heard of called Gregor the Overlander. Then she moved on to the Hunger Games trilogy. The Hunger Games has been sold in 56 territories and 51 languages.
I have not read Gregor the Overlander. but I think she wrote it because it said in her biography that she lived in an urban area. One day she was thinking about Alice in Wonderland and how kids in her area are more likely to fall down a man whole than a rabbit whole.
I hope you give Suzanne Collins book the Hunger Games a try. For more information go her web site at www.suzanncollinsbooks.com.

Frances Hodgson Burnett

For this Padlet, I'm going to be telling you what I thought was interesting about Frances Burnett. When I first started reading one of her books "The Secret Garden", I noticed that her words are really bold and short on each page. I just thought that was interesting! Another thing I thought was sad and interesting was that she used to be rich and she had her own family business, but after that didn't work out, she had to move to an American uncle's log cabin in Rural, Tennessee. Frances loved to make up stories, and as a teenager she began writing them down and selling them to magazines in England and America. To me it looks like she used to be a brave and independent little girl! Also, right before her death at age 74, she said, "With the best tat was in me, I tried to write more happiness into the world." I thought that was cool!
Frances's friend Louisa May Alcott, otherwise known as the author of, "Little Woman", encouraged her to start writing stories for little children. So she did!! Her first children's novel was, "Little Lord Fauntleroy". Little Lord Fauntleroy, A Little Princess, and The Secret Garden have stayed in print for almost a century!! Anyways, I hope you found this information interesting and informational, and I hope you read one of her books! Thanks!!

By: Coleman Clark
The author I would like to share with you is Steve Watkins. Steve Watkins surprisingly wrote a lot of books. I've only read one of his books, Ghosts of War; The Secret of Midway, and I have never heard someone talk about any of his books before. All of the Ghosts of War books are books that I have been really wanting to read. I will put these books in my books to read list.

Another surprising fact is is that Steve Watkins is a yoga teacher! He also is a husband and a father. What hit me the hardest is that Steve Watkins won an award. The specific name of the award is the Golden Kite Award. To me it seems like he had to work extremely hard to achieving this goal.

I think that Steve Watkins chose to write the book is to inform the reader a little about World War Two, and to go along with the Ghost of War books he has written. I think this specific book is a realistic fiction book. You can find all of this information on his website, www.stevewatkinsbooks.com I hope you will have the time to enjoy reading this book, and happy reading!

   Louis Sachar
The author I will be sharing with you is Louis Sachar.
Louis surprising wrote a book named Sideways Stories From Wayside School. This book is about how Louis went to this school and was a Yard teacher. The kids would call him Louis The Yard Teacher. The story is also based on the kids he knew there.

A interesting fact is that Louis won the National Book Award For Young people Literature in 1998. He also won the Newbery Medal in 1999. Louis wrote 25 young and adult books. Wow!!

I was also surprised to hear that Louis had a sweater warehouse in the daytime located in Connecticut. Sachar also write for two hours a day. Can you believe it , that must be why he is such a good author.

I think Sachar wrote this story because all of his other books have been about kids and he wanted to talk about heat.

He also probably wrote this because he wanted to tell kids not to do anything bad because you could go to Camp Green Lake, even though we do not have a Camp Green Lake, we still have a Juvenal for kids.

I hope you found this interesting and informational , I also hope you read one of his books. Hoped you enjoyed!!!
