         <description><![CDATA[<div>The prevalence rates for autism and for ASD are 1 in 68 individuals in the US and approximately 1% of the world’s population (around 75M), according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, 2014). In 2013, the number of children between the ages of 6 and 17 who received special education services for ASD has risen significantly since 2005 (Bryant, 2017, pg 101).</div>]]></description>

In the absence of a finite set of characteristics, it can be stated generally that all children with ASD have certain impairments and abnormalities related to communication, social skills, and repetitive behaviors.
