How will you have students respond in the most engaging and creative way possible:
If you could be any living thing, what would you be? Why would you choose this? What needs would you have to survive?

Have students create a public service announcement describing what their game or toy is, what materials they used, how it helps by reusing materials, and how to play their game or toy (have them demonstrate them playing with it). Using their iPads, they can record their Public Service Announcement and upload it to their Seesaw or Google classroom.

They could use dialogue with recording, typing a few words on the page, etc. Students would continue to draw pictures of what the environment around the animal looks like, then the student would be able to make suggestions for what humans need to survive and how we impact everything in their life, community and world. Use Seesaw to make a similar story.

Kinder kids at my school tend to struggle with sharing screens and going back and forth between open tabs or windows. We have been working on it and getting closer but we are still not proficient. I am thinking I would use SeeSaw as the platform to answer these questions; it is what my students and parents are most comfortable with. Students could build a book, so to speak. Page 1 would be to learn to take a screen shot and post a picture of their chosen animal. Page 2, students could have a grown up record their responses to "Why would you choose this?" Then, Grown up's could interview student and answer the following questions: Is your animal wild or a pet? Is your animal a hunter or is your animal hunted? What does your animal eat? How does your animal stay safe? Page 3, could be a drag and drop activity where I have created numerous food and non-food sources. Students could drag the items their animals eat into a "food bin".
