There are 4 supermarkets and some parks, the most famous one is "Parco delle terre cotte". There are many churches in Assemini: it's a very religious city. There are many places when you can hang out with your friends. In Via Cagliari there are many shops when you can buy everything you want. There are 2 Elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 1 High school, but it's not a very good school, so I have to go to school in Cagliari. There is a swimming pool that's called "Acquasport", it's a very cool and big swimming pool.
Martina Porcu

REDUCING WASTE TO SAVE THE PLANET

(Giulia P.)
There are many types of plastics, used in the areas of human activities. Has had a strong growth, a development made possible thanks to the use of new materials that have replaced glass in the production of bottles, for example. The fact that plastic, like other waste, is dumped into the sea/oceans, is a serious problem. It would pollute our environment. So some countries have thought to avoid this as much as possible with recycling of materials. Waste recycling is the set of methods used to recover waste materials and reuse them. You can start with separate collection, to avoid polluting in our own environment. Each of us can do something, so why not start now? One way to solve pollution would be to raise awareness and raise awareness of the causes and consequences of indiscriminate exploitation of the environment, including through school.
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81mzoIjDhJL._SX466_.jpg

Cagliari and its actions for the environment.

Alessia Frau.
In my city, Cagliari, there are often many actions to safeguard the environment and our beautiful beaches. In the center of the city, in the largest squares, we find bikes that can be used, an ecological solution to be able to move in the city without polluting. Marrying a little, we find the wonderful beach of the 'poet'. Every year here, groups of volunteers are working to clean up the beaches and the seabed of plastic and other waste harmful to our sea. I think it is important for all people to support this kind of event, which is aimed at renewing citizens' environmental awareness. Finally, it should not be forgotten that often, in our city, the ‘’FridaysForFuture’’ takes place, a movement created by young people in Europe and spread all over the world, which was inspired by the strikes of 16 year-old Greta Thunberg, to draw the attention of world leaders to the serious climate emergency. I think that in order to further improve the quality of life in our city, we must make everyone understand the importance of safeguarding our city, minimising waste and reducing CO2 emissions. So, less cars and more bikes! ;)

(Laura Meloni)
Cagliari is becoming an increasingly ecological city. you can easily move with buses, some of which are electric. you can rent bikes and electric cars with bike and carsharing. You can move around the bike paths and in the parks with bicycles and electric kick scooter. In fact this city has many green spaces such as parks and squares whit grass area and trees that produce oxygen and clean up the air. Since last year, people recycle their waste, leaving their garbage outside their front door on a scheduled day of the week. Although the city is very sunny, even in winter, the solar energy is not widespread. it would be advisable to install photovoltaic panels on the roofs of our homes to improve the quality of life and to reduce energy waste. Another way to save energy would be to put a thermal insulation into the walls of our home, so as to use less air conditioning in winter and summer.

But then they thought of using a recycling depot, where people have to trow their waste in the appropriate container and the they collect all of the rubbish from there.

I live in samassi, a small town in the province of Cagliari. Samassi is clean and not very polluted. I think most of the inhabitants respect the environment by doing small actions such as recycling, recycling, not wasting water or even not using the car when it is not essential.
To avoid getting dirty and investigating, there are baskets in the streets and we all use them. Also there is a lot of green in samassi because there is a lot of agriculture.

My city Cagliari is very clean because all the families do the recycling, which is then taken away by the garbage trucks that usually pass in the morning. Non-recyclable waste is brought directly to the appropriate factories where it is then disposed of. The city is equipped with many baskets especially in parks and beaches. The streets are also cleaned by trucks or by street sweepers. For all this i’m very happy!

In my city all the habitants do the recycling in own house which is transported away from the garbage truck to then disposed of. In front of my home, there are some garbage cans which serve for the garbage of fish market Friday. The roads everyday, are cleaned from sweepers that collect all the garbage of the uncivilized people that throws own it in the road.
One time I collaborated me too for the cleaning of the road! All in all I’m so happy for the system of cleaning of my country, works well!

I live in samassi a town in the province of Cagliari. It is a country that is very attentive to recycling and that is concerned with teaching children the importance of being environmentally aware, these teachings are done through days where children learn to recycle while playing. But in addition to this the municipality of samassi is committed to respect the environment through small gestures for example the inhabitants get out in the car only if it is necessary and are careful to the excessive consumption of water. I hope that these projects will continue.
