Our grandparents used to use some plants like "ortiga" this plant used for muscle pains, also in medicinal water for the stomachache. When we had nasal bleeding caused by a blow our parents healed us with a cotton smeared "ortiga" water which helped stop the bleeding. Another medicinal plant is the "verbena" which has relaxing effects that help us to calm the nerves and also is beneficial to improving the status to depression.
For another hand the "Sabila" has many benefits such as inflammatory properties ideal for reducing problems like acne, also it is purifying , detoxifying and promotes digestion. 
It is based drink mixed with horchata. It is very common to find this drink in a kiosk.
To conclude medicinal plants have many health benefits. In our opinion the medicinal plants are completely natural and help more than any other drug without causing side effects.
