The hadith :

“O Muhammad, tell me about Islam.”

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Islam is to testify that there is no deity worthy of worship but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, to perform prayers, to give zakaah, to fast in Ramadhan, and to make the pilgrimage to the House if you are able to do so.”

He said: “You have spoken rightly”; and we were amazed at him asking him and saying that he had spoken rightly.

The signs the day of judgement :

1) The slave-girl will give birth to her master.

2) When the naked, barefooted would become the chiefs of the people.

3 Prayers of the Jibril (as) that the Prophet Muhammad said :

1) Woe to those who when Ramadhan arrives but do not ask for forgiveness from Allah.

2) Woe to those who do not do good to their parents.

3) Perish those who when they hear the name of the Messenger of God but do not respond.

ءَامَنَ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍۢ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ ۚ وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

meaning :

The Messenger believes, and so do the believers, in the guidance sent down upon him from his Lord: each of them believes in Allah, and in His angels, and in His Books, and in His Messengers. They say: “We make no distinction between any of His Messengers. We hear and obey. Our Lord! Grant us Your forgiveness; to You we are destined to return.”

(surah Al-Baqarah : 285)

• Infidels believe in the existence of God but do not believe.

• because they hold to the tauhid rububiyyah not the tauhid uluhiyyah.

Belief in Malaikat

• Helper of Allah, tp show the power of Allah.

• as an intermediary between Allah and humans.

Belief in Kitab

• Zabur, Taurat, Injil and Al-Quran.

• The Qur'an was revealed in its entirety from the time of Prophet Adam until the Day of Judgment.

• protected and secured from the syaitan.

• other Kitab change every generation, except the Quran.

• we need to know the knowledge of God's greatness before we want to understand the Qur'an.

Belief in Rasul and Anbiya'

• delivering a message that only Allah is worthy of worship.

مَّن يُطِعِ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ ٱللَّهَ ۖ وَمَن تَوَلَّىٰ فَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًۭا

meaning : Whoever obeys the Messenger has truly obeyed Allah. But whoever turns away, then ˹know that˺ We have not sent you ˹O Prophet˺ as a keeper over them.

(surah An-Nisa' : 80)

• whoever obeys the messenger then he obeys Allah.

The importance of believing in the prophet

• Guide people to the right path.

• For proof of life and all deeds that will be considered on the Day of Judgment.

• Guide to the right path.

What is Adab?

Adab in Islam is practicing good practices.

Why Adab is important?

Because Adab are a reflection of ourselves.

Adab towards parents

• we should not use rude language when talking to parents.

• being humble with our parents.

• always pray for parents.

وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُ وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَـٰنًا ۚ إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ ٱلْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَآ أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَآ أُفٍّۢ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلًۭا كَرِيمًۭا

meaning :

For your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And honour your parents. If one or both of them reach old age in your care, never say to them ˹even˺ ‘ugh,’ nor yell at them. Rather, address them respectfully.

(surah Al-Isra' : 23)

Dua for forgiveness for parents :

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ

meaning : Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the judgment will come to pass.

(surah Ibrahim : 41)
