This week's reading covered engaging students to use different modes of technology. I found the three stories very inspiring of ways to incorporate technology in the classroom. While doing this assignment I was traveling on the train to Chicago. Ironically, the train did not have internet. Prior to our departure I had checked to see if internet was provided, it was not but false advertising. I was thinking while I could not access internet that I would either use it from my phone or my airbnb. I recognize that not all students will have the option of using internet or phone. As an adult, I have the ability to plan or organize. I wonder if students would have the capacity to plan ahead. Would the teacher have to create opportunities for students to have time to use technology at school? Or would a teacher create a schedule or plan ahead with the students and have them understand the process or planning ahead when technology is not always available?
