         <description><![CDATA[<p>I did the exercise where I let my mind go to a bad place while performing. I did this while I was performing for DRT. This exercise can definitely be scary because it is hard to allow yourself to go to such a negative place, however it was a learning experience. It can be beneficial to allow yourself to being yourself out of a negative state, and remind yourself why you should be confident. This technique was eventually beneficial because it allowed me to feel more confident before going on stage.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This chapter discussed keeping your mind on track and staying focused on being positive. This semester, being a freshman at a new university in a new state, I have had to remind myself to stay calm and keep myself on track. The advice that this chapter gave me really helped me for this. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I chose the visual zooming: portrait versus panorama mode exercise. This exercise is one that I have actually utilized before. When I am overwhelmed or stressed, it is really beneficial for me to try and ground myself and focus on something simple. This technique does that and can be really helpful to calm my nerves and focus my mind.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This chapter focused on how to calm yourself when you are in a state of panic. I really appreciated all of the different techniques that they provided that can help lower stress levels and ground you when overwhelmed. I often have issues with getting too worked up or overwhelmed too easily, and having these techniques to work with can be very beneficial for me moving forward.</p>]]></description>
