One of the quotes that I found interesting was from the second episode, titled President Barack Obama.
It read

"Schools don't show you the world. They just show you a bunch of careers."

This quote I find very important because it shows the deeper meaning behind the school system. It conveys that school gives you an insight on all of the things you can do, prior to high school, and even college so that you can be prepared for life outside education.

Other than that, she sees herself as a strong member of her community- talks about going around the country, and world, to have conversations on how important it is for each of us to understand our own stories

A conflict from one of the episodes, titled Protests and the Pandemic with Michele Norris, that is very relevant today, discusses the dangers of Covid 19. More specifically how those that don't have regard for others around them are putting more people at risk. A statement made that I think really pushes the importance of this conflict is, "We've got to stop and think about who is dying from this disease and who will have trouble recovering." This really just signifies how the only way we will surpass this struggling time is by being considerate and take the problem at hand seriously.

Striking Line

While conversing with Michelle Obama about forming a society in which inclusion and unity is valued, Former President Obama says,

"If you go back to that basic insight, and just widen it and take the blinders off of racism, sexism, homophobia, etc, and really say our tribe is everybody."

This is in regards to "re-embracing" old values to help stabilize and create a more peaceful world. I think the audience that quote was directed at would be America as a whole. This is because the division of the country has been so bad for the past few years. The quote kind of gives a reassurance of what we can do to push past this division. I felt this quote was very relevant to the status of the country in the past and present.

"re-embrace"
I chose this word (it was from the conversation where I found my striking line) because I think it exemplifies that you can find good, or learn, in old things. By this I mean things that are old and outdated can be used to reflect upon things we see today.

The podcast episode that I listened to was titled "Fashion". The speaker talked about the standards set in fashion today and how you shouldn't worry about what other people think of what you wear, but to be most comfortable in it. I really related to a lot of the things she said, for example she talked about a way to be comfortable in jeans is to wear baggy jeans.
