Addie probably feels hurt, devasted, and feels bad about herself because she had made fun of her friend. She probably feels more hurt, because her skin color is white, unlike his as it is black. Her response was probably just blurted, and then she probably left because she was trying to be nice but it didn't really go well. She wanted him to be president, but Dushawn feels as if he had been offended because he thought that she thought he should be president because he was black and because he was called many names, and so he could stop this.
