         <description><![CDATA[<p>This event gathered the three estates of France: The clergy, nobility, and commoners summoned by the king, Louis XVI, to address the financial crisis and societal issues within France. After a time, disagreement sparked as the commoners wanted votes within the consul to be counted by individuals and not by the estates, giving them an advantage that was refused by the First and Second, creating an even larger divide between the Estates. </p>]]></description>

Despite at first winning, like the battle of the Pyramids, the Campaign failed due to the destruction of the library of Alexandria by the British and resistance in Syria. This expedition did lead to discoveries like the Rosetta stone, helping further understanding of the world in Europe. </p>]]></description>
