The length of the high-speed four-lane route with multi-level interchanges is 40 km. In the autumn of 2016 excavations along the highway and construction and erection works on all 15 artificial structures are in progress. Finish construction is expected by December 2018. In February 2017, the construction of a road approach to the bridge from the Crimea began. On March 14, 2018, after the visit of President Vladimir Putin to the Crimean Bridge, the owner of the contractor Stroygazmontazh Arkady Rotenberg said that the bridge will be launched in May 2018, six months before the original date.
