         <description><![CDATA[<div>Received the official name of the "Crimean Bridge" after the popular vote in December 2017. In December 2018, the launch of the automobile part of the bridge, in December 2019 - the railway. In March 2014, in connection with the annexation of the Crimea to Russia, the deterioration of Russian-Ukrainian relations and the threat of stopping Russia's communication with the Crimea through the territory of Ukraine, preparation for the construction of the bridge was intensified: on March 19, 2014, Russian President Vladimir Putin set the task of the Ministry of Transport to construct the Kerch bridge in the automobile and railway variants. In the summer of 2014 Rosavtodor announced a preliminary estimate of the project: 150 billion rubles for the construction of a transport transition, 86 billion rubles for preparatory work and 51 billion rubles for the construction of access roads. In July 2017, asphalt concrete pavement was laid on the road bridge. In October 2015, the construction of automobile approaches to the Crimean bridge from Taman was initiated. The length of the high-speed four-lane route with multi-level interchanges is 40 km. In the autumn of 2016 excavations along the highway and construction and erection works on all 15 artificial structures are in progress. Finish construction is expected by December 2018. In February 2017, the construction of a road approach to the bridge from the Crimea began. On March 14, 2018, after the visit of President Vladimir Putin to the Crimean Bridge, the owner of the contractor Stroygazmontazh Arkady Rotenberg said that the bridge will be launched in May 2018, six months before the original date. The capacity of the bridge after the launch will be 40 thousand cars a day.</div>]]></description>
