We thought of three different bridge types: A simple bridge with no supports, an arch bridge, and a beam bridge.

Which bridge type did you decide to build? Why?

We went with the beam bridge because we thought that it would support the pennies the best.

We had originally picked the arch bridge but then we found out that the arch wouldn't be big enough to fit the boats under.

What were some constraints you had to plan around?

Our constraints were: We could only have 4 pieces of paper, we only had 2 feet of tape, and we could not tape the bridge to the ground

What was the criteria that you had to meet?

Our model was 2 pieces of paper folded to support more pennies and 2 beams to go under the bridge and support it.

Explain the test results. You should explain the two different types of tests: penny stack and penny spread.

We would make better supports that would actually hold pennies by making them sturdier and tape them to the bridge.

Would you build a different bridge type? Would you add more/less supports?

No because out of everyone who did a beam bridge most of them worked but we didn't have good enough supports

Evaluate yourself. Did you collaborate and work well with your partner? What are some things you can do better next time?

I think I did pretty good because i was the main "designer" and he helped with the ideas and research.
