      <description>The challenge Having a good understanding of a region&#39;s climate is essential for planning activities in various areas. For example, knowing the average temperature and humidity at certain times of the year can influence the choice of what to plant on a farm. There are currently several public databases that provide this information in the form of CSV files. However, there are several files for the same city (one for each monitoring station) which, depending on the type of station, can have different formats. Based on the above, we would like a database system capable of receiving these files, validating their content and providing reports.</description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The "Trelawney" project began with a problem presented by our client, a researcher who studies the climate in the state of São Paulo. He was receiving weather data from stations in various cities in the format of CSV files, which are files that store information separated by commas. These files contained the date, time, weather variable, variable value, city acronym and weather station code. The client needed a solution that would allow these files to be sent, their content to be validated and reports to be generated via an automated system. Based on this need, we developed Trelawney to facilitate the import, validation and analysis of this data.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <title>Trelawney&#39;s main features</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Trelawney allows the user to import CSV files, create and associate city names with the data contained in these files, and save this information in a database. The system automatically alerts you when the imported values exceed user-defined limits, such as a temperature that exceeds 40°C or drops below 0°C. In addition, the user can edit and save these values. It is also possible to record data manually, without importing a file, and to create, edit and delete the name and acronym of cities and the station code. Trelawney also allows you to describe units of measurement, such as °C, with the description "degrees Celsius".</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <title>Trelawney Reports and Benefits</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The system offers several options for generating reports. Among them is the average report for each city and climate variable, such as the average temperature in São José dos Campos. Another report allows you to calculate the average for a date range specified by the user. Trelawney can also generate a boxplot report, which shows quartiles (1, 2, 3), upper and lower limits, and outliers, i.e. values that exceed normal limits. With these features, Trelawney automates the import and validation of meteorological data, facilitates information management and offers detailed analysis, making the researcher's work more efficient and accurate.</p><p><br></p>]]></description>
