There is so much to see you can read the book multiple times and still find something new.

I used Livebinder because from viewing those that we have seen in class it looked easy to navigate and could place a wealth of information into one database. However, I may try a different method in the future that enables me to have more control over graphics.

Favorite book resource is Multicultural Books for Children. This website has a great deal of book lists with a wide range of books that cover any subject. One great point is the link to 60 plus multicultural book lists. The site also brings to our attention the diversity gap in our books.

I enjoyed The Garden of My Imaan by Farhana Zia. This story portrays the trials and tribulations of a preteen Indian-American Muslim. In this book you see that she experiences what a normal American teen does with some additional issues to add.

LiveBinder served as the format for my project. I have come to enjoy LiveBinders and have recommended it to others because of my experience with it in this class.

My favorite resource in this LiveBinder is Multicultural Children's Book Day. The site has an extensive list of multicultural resources grouped by various awards. Some of the awards I just discovered because of this experience.

My "new favorite" read within this LiveBinder is The True Meaning of Smekday. I found the title in one of our resources and listened to the audiobook. Bahni Turpin, the narrator of The Hate U Give, also narrates this book. Her voice and the book's plot provide wonderful entertainment as the main character, Gratuity, goes on a cross-country adventure with a wacky, renegade alien to find her mother, who has been abducted. The book deals with race differences and acceptance in a humorous sci-fi adventure.

Anxiety levels are rising in our culture, and anxiety is being diagnosed earlier and earlier, but I still see a disconnect for other children and even adults that don't know what it is like. This book shows children how to handle their own anxiety and shows others reading it what it may feel like to have anxiety.

I used Google Sites for my passport. I've used this tool before in the past but I love continuing to explore the new add-ons and features Google has added to this tool, there were even new features and elements that were a lot more intuitive and easy-to-use than I remember from the last time I used it which was just last summer for my summer sessions.

My favorite resource, like many others have said and I also included, was We Need Diverse Books. I think that this organization was cited so much in this class for the obvious reason that it's doing really important work and making strides in promoting and bringing awareness to diverse, multicultural literature for children.

My favorite book that I highlighted would have to be Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson, which is the title I also chose to do my book trailer for. I think that the author's autobiographical account of her life, written in verse as well, brings a fresh look at the Civil Rights Movement through the eyes of someone who was impacted in a different way as she grows to find her own voice. I also liked how this book doesn't bring multicultural representation into play "just because" it's by an African-American author and about her experiences as a child, but because it provides an outlet for young black girls to see themselves as dreamers, storytellers, and change-makers. Jacqueline Woodson is also a member of the LGBT community and while it doesn't explicitly come through in this text, her YA books deal with sexual identity as a topic, and this book is just one more step towards all kinds of vibrant, intersectional representation in literature for young children and teens.

Here is my Website!

It's well done, up to date, and somewhat curated and selective about what they include while still offering many resources.

My favorite book was New Kid by Jerry Craft. It's a graphic novel about Jordan Banks, a black kid, who is going to a new, affluent, predominately white high school and his experiences there. I thought it did a nice job articulating the microaggressions marginalized groups experience and how they (mixed with the overt racism) can pile up.

This resource has SO many book recommendations, and each topic is divided out by age range. The age ranges go all the way from preschool to adult, so it's extremely comprehensive. There are also tons of categories of books, some of which overlap, but it's nice to see so many specific categories listed so you can easily find a book on the topic you are interested in.

My favorite book that I included in my resources is Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut. This book is so delightful, and I love how it celebrates the beauty and confidence of young black boys through trips to the barber shop.

It is very creative and it reminds me of my Grandma, she grew up very poor without resources to use to tell stories, yet she memorized them and told them to me and my sisters that way. The resource provides lists of books with leading African American female characters, and is fairly easy to navigate.

My favorite book I included was 10,000 Dresses by Marcus Ewert. It's about a young person born male who enjoys creating and wearing dresses, much to the dismay of their parents who tell them that boys don't wear dresses. Bailey, the lead character, meets a friend and ally who helps Bailey feel comfortable with their love of dresses. I would love to see even more LGBTQIA+ literature come available for young readers, and not just for tweens +.

The format of scoop it simplistic and easy to use, I think I will use it in future when I need to curate resources.

Share your favorite resource included in your project and why: My favorite resource was probably Everyday Diversity. I think the reason why it is my favorite is as plain as its message. Diversity in America is an everyday thing to experiences, so why don't are books reflect that?

Share your favorite book included in your project and why: I think my favorite book I discovered during this project was I am Not a Number. I think it is my favorite because it raises awareness of how Native American's have been treated historically.

I used Google Sites for my project because I've used it for a multitude of projects this semester, and to me it's been really easy to use and very friendly for curating resources.

My favorite resource even after doing this project is still Everyday Diversity. The curator of this website did an excellent job in using effective tags, and I really appreciate how they put both a summary and related themes with the title.

The book I enjoyed most out of this list was probably Stone Soup with Matzoh Balls by Linda Glazer. Stone Soup is always a good story about sharing and I loved reading a Jewish retelling of it.
LINK TO PROJECT

I chose live binder for my project because: 1. We already chose this platform for our group project and I wanted to have one large resource. 2. I like the organization of the tabs and how quickly you can see everything.

My favorite resource is Multiculturalism Rocks. It's pretty much a one-stop shop. It has all kinds of resources, links to other pages and book reviews.

My favorite book on my list is Ghost by Jason Reynolds. I like it because it's about running! I love to run myself and there are very few books about this sport. I also like that it's a book written with a male main character in an atypical sport.

My live binder.

I chose LiveBinder for my project because it is easy to use and easy to peruse.
My favorite resource is We Need Diverse Books because it is well done and up-to-date.
My favorite book is Too Many Tamales by Gary Soto. It is a heartwarming, beautifully illustrated story set at Christmas.
