- Ayar manco was the leader of the tribe from the cave and carried a staff that marked what was good territories for the incas to settle
- They arrived to cuzco valley and settled
- After settling Ayar manco became Manco Capac
- In about 1438 Pachacuti defended his territory because the ruler fled
- Pachacuti split the empire into 4 and named it all Tahuantinsuyo
- The ecuevinelnt to writnig was their kipu system
- When the conquistadors came to South America they brought diseases and wiped much of the inca population 
- Atahualpa and Husacr fought for the empty throne
- Spaniards outplayed the incas and were able to beat them with a smaller army
