The fact the some students are marked from the 3rd grade to be bound for prison is definitely expressed  in how they are then treated in school and in society. That is also supported by the reference article. This means two things: that 3rd grade reading levels are a predictor of adult education and literacy (which is not good) and that adult education and literacy are predictors of incarceration (also not good).
