Protocol for working with External Agencies

The Peel District School Board (PDSB) has a protocol for collective agreements with external agencies. There are times when schools will work with an external agency to provide a service that internal special education support staff are unable to provide. There are guidelines around these agencies and they are outlined in a document that is accessible on their website (link below). This protocol outlines:
- Establishment of Collaborative Agreements
- Checklist for Collaborative Agreements
- Collaborative Agreement between the School and External Agency
- External Service Application Proposal

"Collaborative Agreement Protocols are intended to create a mutually supportive, reciprocal
arrangement between a school or school board and external agencies. The main purpose is to supplement learning, although it is a given that all organizations involved can and should benefit from the association."
(PDSB, 2018).
