This has become an adaptation because it helps geese reduce the air resistance, helps them fly faster, and overall helps them survive longer. Those who are able to fly in a V can live longer, and help others more. This is also a learned trait, because the mothers teach the baby geese how to fly within the V pattern.

This helps the geese by flying within a group, which can help if one goose has to take a break, or if there are many geese that need to get somewhere to migrate. The geese rotate leadership to make sure that the leader is always strong, and able to take responsibility for the group. There are many things that show that if this was not happening within the group, geese would not be as strong as they are today.

Geese flying in this formation are on their way to a warm place for the winter. They fly in a V formation, and usually switch the order in which they fly to have a new leader every time a geese gets tired. The V formation of the geese helps the flock of geese fly faster, and stronger than they would if they were alone. The characteristics are the traits in which these geese have, even if one gets shot on its way to South America.

this helps the geese because if a geese got injured, and had to fly down, there would be 2 more geese that would go with it until it got better. These geese are strong in these groups, and no matter what, they will always be in a group.
