Sidelined was wrote by Chuck Pagano with help from Bruce Tollner. I rate this book as a 7/10, because normally I don't like crying as much as I did in this book. The story of Sidelined takes place when the coach of the Indianapolis Colts, Chuck Pagano, is diagnosed with Leukemia. The story really takes off as you meet the people who supported him, the people who also were battling cancer, and the people who played for him, and how their situations were affected by his situation. The reason I give it such a high rating is because I found it very engaging, and was always putting me on an emotional roller coaster.

If there were to be another chapter in the book, it would be about what has happened since the end of the 2012 season. It would go over the rumors that Chuck Pagano was going to be fired, and that the Colts haven't been able to win very many football games. From Chuck's point of view, the chapter could explain some of the issues they've had. The chapter could also show that Chuck has been in remission since then and how happy his family is to have him back.

The thing that the reader is supposed to learn from Sidelined is to never stop fighting, and keep your passion. If Pagano would not have been as strong in his battle with cancer, he may not have survived it. Another thing to learn is that you need to support people who are going through a rough time. Cheerleaders shaved their heads, fans bought tee shirts, and owners around the league donated money all in support of his organization, #ChuckStrong. The overarching lesson of both of these is everyone should stay strong and rally together.
