This passage in the poem add to the overall story to show what the scene of Mr.C's death looked liked. The poetic device they used was imagery. Within this passage I could really see the moment that this girl was seeing the death and getting help. I could feel the pain and yelling in my throat as I read it. This poem adds what the girl looked like as she was screaming for help, because I could see her yelling and trying to get the words out of her mouth but was difficult to. This is a imagery part of the poem because she is talking about how he treated her before he died. This adds sympathy to Celia because she seems like she liked Mr. Chippendale. This could also be a cover up to make it seem like she is said even if she might have done it. This is hard to decide if she was lying or if she was being true. iI all of this, this was important to establish how Celia felt about mr chippendale, even if she was lying.

This is important because it opens the idea of, why would someone shoot him if he was liked by students? Also this makes readers think, was there another side of him that was not told in the story? The side where he is misbehaving, and is a rebel.
