Edgar attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, he was kicked out from the academy because he did not follow orders and neglected his duties; once Edgar was expelled he tricked some of his classmates to give him money. Later in his life Edgar met the love of his life, this person was his cousin. Edgar and Virginia married in 1833, Edgar being 27 and Virginia 13. Unfortunately for Edgar's wife she died of tuberculosis at 27 years of age; Edgar died 2 years later. Edgar's death is still a mystery in which one theory is that he died of rabies. Even after his death some people adored him, one of them was the Poe Toaster.
