Week 1 : Adab with Al quran

In week 1, I learn that adab with quran not only about reading, but also repect and quiete when someone reading it. The Quran is not just a book, it is a guidance for us to success in the dunya and in the Hereafter. Dont just reading it but understand the meaning behind it because Quran is a book of humanity and we need to understand it. There are a lot of lesson we can take from the quran

Hikmah Adab with Alquran

One of the hikmah Adab is we get the reward from Allah because Islam teach us to have a good relationship not only to Allah but also to human (hamblumminallah hablumminannas). Next, it will be easy for us to understand what we learn so far. It is because in learning, adab is the number one. Without adab the knowledge that we get from our teacher/lecturer is nothing and it easy for us to forget.

Strengthens connection with Allah – By showing respect to the Qur’an, we honor the words of Allah, which nurtures closeness to Him.

2. Purifies the heart. Practicing adab such as reading with sincerity, humility, and clean intentions softens the heart and keeps arrogance away.

3. Ensures proper understanding. Approaching the Qur’an with respect and focus helps us gain true guidance instead of misunderstanding or neglecting its message.

Week 2 : Hadith Jibril

The Hadith of Jibril is one of the most comprehensive teachings of Islam. It beautifully summarizes the essence of the religion through the conversation between Angel Jibril (Gabriel) and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, witnessed by the companions.

In this hadith, Jibril asked about Islam, Iman, Ihsan, and the signs of the Last Day. Each part teaches me how to balance my faith and practice.

1. Islam (outward practice): prayer, fasting, zakat, hajj, shahadah.

2. Iman (belief in the unseen): faith in Allah, angels, books, prophets, the Day of Judgment, and qadr.

3. Ihsan (spiritual excellence): worshipping Allah as if you see Him.

The Hadith reminds us that being a Muslim is not only about actions, but also about belief and spirituality. Religion is complete when all three levels are combined.

Hikmah from Hadith Jibril

1. Wearing proper attire when seeking knowledge. For example wearing a cloth that cover our aurat.

2. Don't afraid to ask a question even if we already know the answer to ensure that the knowledge we get is legit.

3. Always think before doing any action because every action that we did are gonna be judged in the Hereafter whether we go to jannah or jahannam.

4. Streghten in believing and holding the five pillar of islam and six pillar of iman by doing ibadah only to Allah

5. This hadith also show the importance of seeking knowledge because with knowledge we can bring our ummah to the better future

Ihsan is derived literally from the Arabic word hasana which means to be

good, to beautify. Hasan means suitable, beautiful, proper, or fitting or good.

According to Ibn Manzur, ihsan indicates the significance of benevolence, the

performance of good conduct, and the act of mercy.

Surah al isra 17:23

From this ayah, Allah command us have ehsan towards parents. Respect them and taking care of them just like they are taking care us when we were young. Dont ever say no or uff to your parents when they ask for something.

Eschatology refers to the consequent existence or afterlife. It is

closely related to the fifth article of the Islamic Faith, which is the belief in life after

death. Prophet MuÍammad S.A.W. directed Muslims to believe in resurrection after

death and in the Day of Judgment.

7 names of the Day of the Judgement:

1.Yawm Al-Qiyaamah – The Day of Rising

2.Yawm Al-Hasrah – The Day of Regret.

3.Al-Qaari'ah – The Striking Calamity.

4.Yawm Al-Fasl – The Day of Judgment.

5.Yawm Ad-Deen – The Day of Recompense.

6.Al-Haaqqah – The Inevitable Reality.

7.Yawm At-Talaaqi – The Day of Meeting.

The Relationship

1. Belief in the Last Day makes a person live with ihsan, because they know every action will be judged.

Example: Someone who remembers the Day of Judgment will try to worship with sincerity, not just outwardly.

2. Create mindfullness because we know Allah is always watching and He will punish us in the Day of Judgement.

Conclusion

From this topic it enlighten me to focus do ibadah and doing all the good deeds when qe still in dunya.

Week 3 : Pillars of Iman 1

During this week, our usrah group discussed about 3 from 6 pillars of iman which is:

1. Belief in Allah

2. Belief in Malaikah

3. Belief in Kitab

1. Belief in Allah

We need to believe that Allah is the only God, without partner or equal. This show that islam is a monotheistic religion. Memorise and accept His 99 names and attributes.

Why we must believe:

Allah is our Lord and Creator; belief in Him gives purpose and direction.

It provides spiritual strength and comfort in difficult times.

It prevents worship of false gods or reliance on worldly powers.

How to belief in Allah:

Obey all his commands and refrain from what He prohibited

Doing ibadah such as praying, fasting to strengthen the iman

2. Belief in Malaikat

Malaikat are the creations of Allah which made from light and he never disobey Allah's command even once. They are honorable servants of Allah, who never disobey Him. Each angel has specific tasks. Example:

Jibril brings revelation,

Mikail controls rain,

Israfil will blow the trumpet on Judgment Day

Why we must belief in Malaikat?

Although malaikat is Ghaib but we need to belief that they exist because every action whether it is good or bad is gonna be record by malaikat Raqib and Atid.

3. Belief in Books

Allah has sent a divine books as guidance to humanity to prevent them doing desctruction in this world. There are 4 kitab that Allah sent to us but only one is preserved by Him until Kiamat:

Tawrah (Musa)

Zabur (Daud)

Injil (Isa)

Al Quran (Muhammad) the final and preserved revelation.

Why we need to belief in Books?

They prove Allah’s mercy, as He never leaves His people without direction.

The Qur’an, in particular, is a complete and eternal guide until the Day of Judgment.

How to practise belief in Books?

By reading, studying, and living according to the Qur’an beacuse it is book of humanity.

By respecting all previous scriptures, while knowing only the Qur’an remains unchanged.

By using the Qur’an as a source of law, morality, and spiritual healing to solve our problem in life.

Conclusion

Belief in Allah, Malaikat, and the revealed Books forms a strong foundation of iman. Without these, faith is incomplete. By understanding the meaning, reasons, and practice of these beliefs, Muslims can live a purposeful life in obedience to Allah and prepared for the Hereafter.

During this week, our usrah group discussed about the other 3 of pillars of iman which is:

Belief in Prophet

Belief in Hereafter

Belief in Qada and Qadar

1. Belief in Prophet

We need to belief that Allah choose prophets and mesaangers to guide mankind. The reason why Allah choose human to became His prophet because to show example for others.

Why we must belief in Prophets?

Prophets are examples of obedience, patience, and truthfulness.

Belief in them strengthens respect for all nations and their divine messages.

How to belief in Prophets?

By following the Sunnah (teachings) of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

By sending salawat (peace and blessings) upon the Prophet.

2. Belief in the Day of Judgement

We need to belief in the Day of Judgement because this world is temporarily and akhirat is forever. On the Day od Jidgement everyone will be resurrected and judged by Allah to determine their final destination whether it is hell or paradise.

How to practise it?

By preparing for the Hereafter with good deeds.

By avoiding sins and repenting sincerely.

By remembering death and think carefully when doing any action

3. Belief in Qada and Qadar

In Islamic theology, Qadar refers to Allah's predestination His divine knowledge and measurement of all things before they occur while Qada is the execution or manifestation of that predestined decree in the physical world.

Why we must believe it?

It brings peace during hardship, knowing everything happens by Allah’s will and no one can't questioned it.

It teaches humility, as humans cannot control everything in this world.

It strengthens reliance on Allah because when we are in trouble we should know that only Allah can help us

How to practise it?

By saying “Alhamdulillah” (all praise to Allah) in both good and bad times.

By being patient during tests and thankful during blessings because there is hikmah behind it.

By trusting Allah’s plan while still do our best to solve the problem.

Reflection

Belief in these last three pillars completes a Muslim’s faith:

Prophets guide us with Allah’s message.

The Day of Judgment reminds us to live responsibly.

Qada’ & Qadar teaches trust and surrender to Allah’s wisdom.
