Reports of thousands of people migrating from Missouri to the Oregon Territory suffering many hardships along the way. For what? The chance of prospering in wealth from owning land and farming. Many did not make it but still people, even today, go on the journey in hopes of farming the rich land. I sell my products of cloth and china to make a fairly okay profit. But as more merchants appear, I lose business. So I went along with Becknell to sell my goods in New Orleans and though I thought I wouldn't make it at times, I did. I sold all of my products and became rich with gold.
