Into my 8th iteration of ONL as course organizer - never seem to get tired of it. Apart from ONL I'm part of other courses about higher ed pedagogy too and last week I got an additional task at work: system manager for our e-meeting tool Zoom. I am a lecturer at the School of Financial Planning and Insurance at Milpark Education in Cape Town, South Africa. I teach on our distance learning and online distance learning programmes.
I joined this course to gain exposure to the online learning environment on a global platform, to learn more about being a good educator which I think that in the digital age, requires knowledge of online learning tools, and being able to use them to enable sharing and collaboration between students and educators. I'm excited at learning new things, and meeting new colleagues in this field!

I work with language teacher education, mainly English and modern languages (English is quite modern, too...). I have a great interest in two facets of teacher education - digital literacy and reflexivity as a tool for professional development. In my spare time I read and go to the theatre, and I'm also an avid communication enthusiast (trains and planes, that is!). Digitally I think I am a partial resident and I definitely prefer openness to gated communities.

My professional role is being a critical care physician and anaesthesiologist  in the smallest university hospital in Germany. My research focuses on the developement of an interprofessional training  programm for nursing and medical students in emergency medicine.
My private roles are manyfold…I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family (Wife, toddler, newborn…the full catastrophe…), tuning my bike, geeking out about coffee and looking at the stars.

I am a Midwife lecturer and degree program director for Midwifery education at Arcada UAS, Helsinki, Finland. 
I love to teach, coach and supervise new colleges as well as old ones already working at the clinics. 
In my private life I enjoy being with my family (husband and two grownup kids living by them selves) and friends. My hobbies are all related to water. In the summertime we spend all our spear time at our cottage and sailing in the beautiful Finnish archipelago. Wintertime it is mostly on frozen water/snow both as a ski-instructor and by ski touring.
My digital skills are in process and I am keen on learning how to behave in the digital world as a midwife teacher.

It might also compete with traditional education.
