         <description><![CDATA[<div>Question 1:<br>It's always been an evolving function. So:</div><ul><li>Communication - both the receiving of communication and the distributors.</li><li>For FP folks, we're connected as a community, yet we have different needs. Meeting with other divisions is very important&nbsp;</li><li>Troubleshooting ideas</li><li>Thinktank, bringing back ideas to our depts and taking their ideas back to this group.</li></ul><div>Question 2:</div><ul><li>Clarifying the mission of GLDC</li><li>More transparency for members of GLDC and the larger community.</li><li>If the goal of the year is x, then can we have one meeting a year devoted to that?</li><li>More time? We sometimes begin a conversation about a topic (like vertical curriculum) and have no follow up.</li><li>PD for us - i.e. how to we build teams?</li></ul><div>Question 3:</div><ul><li>Knowing what one's purpose is.</li><li>Repeated meetings - Same in GLDC as Divisional/All-School Meeting</li><li>Finding the balance between incoming information and sharing to depts. We deliver info to our depts. but don't have opportunities to bring back ideas to the GLDC.</li></ul><div>Question 4:</div><ul><li>Should there be a part of this meeting where we share out our depts' concerns/ideas&nbsp; in positive and constructive ways</li><li>Task force (like there used to be) again to drive these meetings.</li><li><br></li></ul><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;What should be the function of GLDC?<br>- Communication Hub (to allow for later sharing of information and motivations with various groups beyond GLDC)<br>- Sounding-board for big ideas<br>- Deliberate space for inter-department, inter-division, and inter-discipline work<br>- PD around working with groups of adults&nbsp;<br>- Training around shared expectations of the role of GLDC members<br><br>What is most needed/wanted to build upon the strength of this group?<br>- Should there be more continuity for GLDC roles between divisions, etc.?<br>- authority to speak, in the context of one's role, to the mission of the school<br>- time together<br><br>What are the biggest challenges to the role of a GLDC member?<br>- We could use more clearly defined roles for GLDC members<br>- one-directional sharing of information (we should find a way to create a defined feedback loop, so that information comes to the group and from the group)<br><br>What are possible solutions?<br>- possible time for a retreat, or significant time together to reflect, build, collaborate as a group<br>- collect information about what we have been working on to reflect upon what has been useful, and build upon that<br>- tasking "Houses" to meet at times between meetings to have already done some work, with specific goals (communication/team resource: Slack)<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
