After The New York Yankees (Antagonist) have had a dynasty for almost 3 decades now and division rival The Boston Red Sox (Protagonists) haven't won a world series since 1918 things looked good New York but not so much for Boston. But in the summer of 49 right before the trade deadline the Red Sox decided to make some changes by making 6 huge trades and hoping they catch up to the Yankees who were 16.5 games in front of them.
 Will they catch up to the Bronx Bombers and shock the country or will they come up short again and miss the World Series.

Which is why they brought up one of the top prospects in their farm system Ted Williams and was he the solution or what.
