Revenge hardly ever brings someone forward. If anything, it will rather make one regress or at best stagnate. Yes, you might get temporarily satisfied if you manage to accomplish it, but the more you think about someone who hurt you, the more you are wavering in negative feelings that do not help you whatsoever, especially in the often likely case where you cannot actually get this revenge you desire so badly. If this person hurt you, then it’s better to eliminate them altogether from your thoughts, no matter how difficult. As cliché as it sounds, happiness is truly found in ignoring the past and focusing on the present. You will feel a more positive reward from letting go than from trying your best to get back at them. Lust for revenge is a wrong feeling to have because it usually hurts you more than the person you hope to hurt back.
