Violence, viruses, and slavery are the main issues throughout this film. An ape community is immune to a deadly virus that spreads throughout the nation killing half the human population. However, at one point everything stops and about 10 years later the virus spreads again leaving behind a small population of humans to survive. Therefore the ape community is still immuned to the virus and is able to communicate with one another especially using sign language.
This incident causes humans to attack and kill apes in order to prevent them from surviving. By doing this some apes end up imprisoned or enslaved at Colonel's camp until their lives thrive in this deadly pandemic. The apes being enslaved justifies the racist ideology illustrating the apes as African-Americans and the humans as a dominant white group.

The scenes and/or images distributed from each link represent the hardships humans went through just to survive this pandemic and come together as a community. However, these social issues caused humans to eliminate the ape community in order to become healthy and outnumber all species (apes). Therefore, causing a war between humans and apes.

I chose this specific science fiction film because it was written and directed by two geniuses named Mark Bomback and Matt Reeves. Both men displayed important themes such as viruses, communicating through sign language, and government corruption. The story is well thought out and creative discussing the challenges Caesar goes through just to protect his family and the humans trying to survive a pandemic just like the rest of us. Caesar's journey is never-ending does not let fear stop him from causing mayhem after the humans attack first interrupting his peace.

Caesar an ape just wants to finally settle down somewhere peaceful and quiet with his family as well as his friends away from any danger after battling with humans for so long. Everything changes when a surviving group of humans enter Caesar's territory and is faced with Caesar himself. Caesar being reasonable and understanding tells one of the men to send their leader a message indicating no one is allowed to trespass his territory again or there will be repercussions. Once the men arrive alive to their leader to relay the message to a man called the Colonel. The Colonel is not too happy about this and goes on an ape hunt to destroy all apes and imprison them in his camp. He does this because for so many years humans have died from a deadly disease that apes are immune to and leaving nothing left for them. That is why the Colonel goes through an all-out war with the apes and to avenge his son's death.

Normally a science fiction film, tv show, game, etc. discusses Tale of the future which often involves the discovery of the same utopian, dystopian, or apocalyptic world. It even involves an exploration of various dimensions.
A great example of this would be the "The Hunger Games" in 2012. This captures the utopian and dystopian aspects and implicating humans fighting for survival while others are lucky enough to live care-free.
Caesar is an ape who was once brought into a human family until he created an apocalyptic world ran by apes and causing chaos which the world later became a dystopian society for humans and apes divided amongst one another.
