Positive Impact of ICT in Education:

1. Access to information: ICT has made it easier for students and teachers to access information from various sources. They can access academic journals, e-books, and other resources from anywhere in the world.

2. Improved teaching and learning: ICT has made it possible for teachers to use various multimedia tools to make their lessons more engaging and interactive. Students can also use ICT tools to learn at their own pace and in their own style.

3. Increased collaboration: ICT has made it easier for students and teachers to collaborate and share information with each other. They can use various online platforms to collaborate on projects and assignments.

4. Enhanced communication: ICT has made it easier for teachers to communicate with their students and for students to communicate with each other. They can use various communication tools such as email, messaging apps, and video conferencing tools to communicate with each other.

Negative Impact of ICT in Education:

1. Over-reliance on technology: Some students and teachers may become too reliant on technology and may not develop other important skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving.

2. Cyberbullying: ICT has made it easier for students to bully each other online. Cyberbullying can have a negative impact on students' mental health and academic performance.

3. Distraction: ICT can be a distraction for students. They may be tempted to use social media or other non-academic websites during class, which can negatively impact their academic performance.

4. Inequality: Not all students have access to ICT tools and resources. This can create an inequality in education, where some students have an advantage over others.

 It is important for educators to be aware of these impacts and to use ICT tools in a responsible and effective way.
