This character is in conflict with the protagonist. The attempt to keep the protagonist from achieving their goals.

A flat character has only one or two traits, they can usually be described in one or two words. Gollum is greedy and sly

This type of character does not change throughout the story. This character's main purpose is to act as a foil, or as a contrast to the main character. The evil queen is a direct contrast to the sweet Snow White. She is evil and wicked throughout the story.

Someone who undergoes an important, internal change because of the action in the plot

A round character is like a real person, they have many different traits. Some might be admirable and others not so admirable. They can be warm, funny, brainy, bossy and so on. The round character undergoes some type of development. They have a complex personality, they are often portrayed as a complex or contradictory person.

Glinda- Protagonist- She is bubbly, talkative, and peppy. Loved by everyone and she is quite strait forward. She is determined and a truthful friend to Elphie.
