I agree that museum are not needed because the internet provides it all. Firstly, the internet has unlimited information. there are billions of website on the internet alone. Whereas in the museum, there are just the amount of info showcased. Also, most museums are not free to enter, while the internet is. So, many people would prefer using the internet rather than going there. Not only many museums cost money, it can also be inconvenient for others due to its location, people many find it far and are not willing to go to so, even if they went, there may be cases of overcrowding, which results in unhappy experiences for the visitors.

however, despite being able to search whatever we need to know online, but i feel that it lacks the atmosphere of wanting to discover more and more about the history of things and places. but in the museum, as one walks along the displays and stories, i have the urge to continue to explore more. moreover, there are Local museums are able to provide a sense of community and place by celebrating a collective heritage, offering a great way to get to know the history of a particular area.

furthermore, things on the internet nowadays can be fabricated as it is a secondary source so it may beautify or slander a particular event, and that we would not know the reliability of the source of information. For example, Wikipedia is a famous website for people to search for information but it can be edited by anyone, any time. any information it contains at a particular time could be vandalism, a work in progress, or just plain wrong. However, museums would provide accurate information and dates of artifacts that they display as they are the primary source of evidence of the event that took place. so we would not need to worry whether the information is correct or not. Thus I feel that we still need museums, for its reliability as well as its lovely atomosphere

I agree that we do not need museums. Due to improvements in technology, we do not need to visit real life museums anymore. Having access to information online without the need to pay for entry tickets is cost efficient for us because everything is on the internet for free. We can also find information on the specific event or object which was in the past without needing to physically travel to an exhibit, making it very convenient for us to research about the past.

Moreover, when we consider the situation we are in right now, it would be better to visit an online museum, as there is a pandemic going on. If we were to visit a museum, there is a slight chance of being in contact with other people visiting the museum and have a chance of getting infected by the virus. As we can never know who has the virus and who does not, I think that it is a safer option to stay at home and learn about the history of our ancestors.

However, I think that we need museums because we can never gauge the actually size of certain animals from the past. I think that having museum exhibits and viewing them in real life reduces the chance of having us underestimating the size of the animals. Point about animals not very strong; what about firsthand experience with the artefacts of the past?
I think that having information online makes it easier for fake news about events which had happened to be spread around. The people who see the fake news online may actually believe them because they have not seen the actual thing.
Must conclude by repeating stand and end off with personal opinion

No I disagree that we no longer need museums. We are able to learn from museums as visiting museums also allows us to learn from past events, wonders and tragedies. Museums collect and preserve our objects and material of religious, cultural and historical values. This makes museums interesting and fascinating as we can connect with the past by viewing the authentic cultural and natural heritage in person.

I disagree that we no longer need museums because some tourist are interested in learning about the past of the country they are visiting. If I were a tourist visiting another country, I would love to visit museums of other countries so I can learn about the history of the countries and enjoy their culture and heritage. I think museums are a great way for tourist to expand their minds and foster deep understandings.

However, I do agree that we no longer need museums as well. Technology has advanced over the years and everything is now accessible through a click of a button on a screen. Many images and information about the history of any country can be found on the internet, without us needing to make our way down to the museums itself. This makes it more convenient and handy for people to learn about past. Some museums have even gone online to give history buffs an authentic, virtual experience.

In conclusion, I do think that museums are important. Museums allows us to be hands on when learning and able to make learning more engaged. Personally, I like going to museums as museums always amazes me due to the wide history of our country. I remember going to the National Museum of Singapore with my friends and classmates and we had to finish worksheets as we were looking around at the artifacts. Therefore, I do think museums are a great way for one to learn and understand a country.

yes, i am interested in history. History allows us to learn from past mistakes and experiences. The first time i developed my strong interest in history was when i was brought to the national heritage museum with my family. The museum showcased Singapore's preserved cultural heritage, where i learnt how past villagers used to live. My family and i definitely learnt more about the wars which we had in the past and find out the causes of how wars were started. After being knowledgeable on these matters, I grew more understanding towards how history has actually shaped the world today. Because of history, I am more grateful towards our founding fathers of singapore for building this country to where it is.

I disagree that we no longer need museums because we can find out everything we need to know from the internet.
In my opinion, having museums in a country is essential. Museums help to promote a country’s culture, practices, beliefs and history. Museums in countries serve as a place to allow foreigners and even local tourists to be educated and experience things first hand. Some activities that can be experienced first hand is role playing, museums will sometimes provide costumes for visitors to wear and go through a plot on the country’s history. These cannot be replaced by online researches. Doing online research on history or cultures might be a mundane task, especially when these information are normally extremely lengthy. For example, for history, my class was invited to The Peranakan Museum to visit the ancient facilities, costumes, habits and structures. We were introduced detailedly about the life as a Peranakan and problems they encountered. The experience was memorable and engaging compared to learning and reading up on articles from the internet.
Another reason why I think that we still need museums despite being able to find out everything we need to know from the internet is because museum is not only a place that stores knowledge and provide in depth details, museums are places to commemorate and remember the sacrifices and achievements of the older generation, raising awareness alongside. For example, in Singapore, Museums remind citizens that without the older generations, we won’t be living comfortably in a developed Singapore. Many museums put in stories of older generations to allow younger generations to understand and study about them.
Another brief reason that I personally think that museums are still needed is because information from the internet might not be accurate, educating website visitors wrongly .
However, there is one downside about having museums. Artefacts might be destroyed due to people’s inconsiderate behaviours. The artefacts are fragile and those historical pieces have only one piece. These artefacts with important values will be destroyed when not handled carefully or touched when one is not supposed to. Once it’s destroyed, the future generations will not be able to benefit as effectively from the knowledge as they cannot experience them first hand.
In conclusion, I still think that museums are needed despite the internet due to the many positive influences and benefits of them.
So what is your final stand? conclude clearly whether you agree or disagree?

Yes I am interested in History. History allows one to learn from the past and teaches us how we should move forward for a better future. I take History as an elective at school and it has been an enjoyable subject to take. It really piques my interest to learn about dictators like Hitler and Stalin and also war heroes like Winston Churchill. Learning history allows me to think whether certain actions that were taken in the past were justified and how certain policies could have carried out better.

Learning History has developed my critical thinking skills allowing to make better judgements when making certain decisions in my life. History has trained me to learn from my past mistakes, making judgement calls on what is right and wrong. From this I am able to eveolve and grow to become a better person.

Yes, I am interested in history as history allows me to know more about the past. There are many things to study about in the past. Like how our country, Singapore, developed from a poor unknown place to such a well known country without any natural resources. Apart from Singapore, there are many interesting events that occured in the past in other countries such as the world war II and the holocaust. There are many learning points from such events and this prevents us from making the same mistakes they did. I recall when I went to the National Museum of Singapore with my classmates, I was fascinated by the amazing stories and how Singapore fought for the best in the past, it really broadened my knowledge about Singapore’s history. Because of history, we get to know how hard their life was and treasure and appreciate what we have now.
Vocab can be better.

Yes, i am interested in history as, if there is no past, there is no future. It is interesting to find out about the past as knowing about the past allows us to improve on the future. For example, mistakes people did in the past are recorded down, allowing people in the present to learn through their mistakes and avoid potential flaws and consequences.
Also, knowing the history of some cultural is also fascinating. Being able to understand how people think in the past and how they function in the society is really eye opening.
Religion played a huge role in shaping a nation or country in the past. It may also be a leading factor that cause kingdoms to fall and excel.
Abrupt ending;

Yes, I am interested in history mainly due to how much there is to learn from the past mistakes and triumphs of others before us, and how much there is to discover about the true happenings in the past as growing up, I always viewed the narrative in history as pedagogically classist. An example would be the massacre of holodolmor, where in the most public and most quote on quote, trusted sources blatantly state that only 3 million innocent were killed where the actual statistic was at least 20 million, showing a clear bias in the sources. Because of instances of false information like this, I have a very deep burning passion for learning the real story in history, which helps me in the school projects i do to dig deeper and investigate all perspectives of events or processes so i can obtain the full picture of them. Thus i have an interest in history.

I disagree with the view that we no longer need museums because we can find out everything we need to know form the internet. In my opinion, museums are both necessary and relevant today. Museums ensure understanding and appreciation for various groups and cultures. They promote better understanding of our collective heritage and foster dialogue, curiosity and self-reflection . Seeing the artefacts online may not give a real impression of the artefacts compared to seeing it personally in the museum.
However, some people may argue that we no longer need museums. Due to the increase of acessibility of search browsers at the tip of our fingertip, we can search for historical information. Using google imagines, we can see artifacts of the old without even heading out. And nowadays, online virtual tours of museums are becoming more popular due to youngsters who rather stay at home and game. Therefore museums may not be very relevant in the present time.

Although these points may be valid, I still believe that we need museums because not all information may be available on the internet or during the virtual tour and it is much more complete experience to witness history before our very own eyes in the museums.

In conclusion, I still disagree with the view that we no longer need museums.

The picture shows a group of men and women wearing traditional peranakan costume at a place which seems to be the peranakan meseum. They look like they're holding a piece of clothing in an interesting way. This pose looks like a way to celebrate their culture and show how beautiful it. This picture was most likely taken to promote the peranakan museum, while also displaying love towards their own culture. I find this truly remarkable as it is rare to find such people with so much love for their culture. Nowadays, teenagers are more uninterested in finding out and appreciating their cultures and traditions. Hence, overall, I find this comforting to see that there are people out there who still cares and love their culture.
